Afternoon, everyone, I hope you've all enjoyed a good week and are now preparing for the weekend! Saving well too of course! For all members of our family who might not be feeling well, please take care, keep warm and drink plenty. Here are special {{{hugs}}} for you all to get well quickly! Take care, all Potters, save cash whenever you're able and enjoy the rest of your savings, and.........have a lovely weekend!! :D

Oh that's a shame re your Jake and the bike, jakes-mum, boys love doing that sort of thing, our DS did and he and his friends had great fun just like his Dad. Well done in giving the cash back to the lady, I bet she was chuffed to bits. :j

What a lovely shot of some of Wales' most stunning scenery, Ruth!! I adore it all round there after a quick visit to Bangor. Have a wonderful time when you next go there too. Good for your OH on spoiling you!

Good for you, Chutney, stay working on it and you won't be in a pickle come November. Sorry, but couldn't resist it. :(

Well done on another £10 and the 5p Sue, You are going to be a happy lady at the beginning of Nobember ain't ya :D.

Thanks a lot, 32b3. Oooh I do hope so, it'll be extremely handy this year. Lucky you re the Italy break..and multi tasking, if ever I tell DH I can do that he always has a derogatory remark! :(

26p potted today. My amounts are really small but I view that as a good thing as it's because I'm spending very little overall so can't complain!

You summed it up in a nutshell, shangaijimmy, and that's never a bad thing so stay happy with your results of saving when you can. Brilliant work in smashing your target!!! :T

A thrilling Thursday, Lynne?? :undecided What have you been doing up there that I haven't down here? You've not been to see THAT film have you, you rascal. :rotfl:

Thanks Sue....I'm feeling better this morning and a bit nervous as I am starting my Psychiatric Placement as part of my Course...it means spending one day a Week for the next 20 Weeks inside a Psychiatric Unit....spending time with the Patients, spending time at the Ward Rounds and also co-facilitating a Music Therapy Group....should be really interesting but I'm a little nervous as well.....

I was just wondering Sue...have you heard from Sparky? I was just wondering how him and his Wife are getting on....hope they are both well and that his Wife is recovering from her Illness....and I hope Sparky can rejoin us soon....

Enjoy the Psychiatric Placement, Helen, I'm sure you're right and that it will be very interesting indeed.

Re sparky and his DW, the last I heard was that she had started back to work, but was too tired so the Drs were going through the tests all over again. Still, they are going to USA with another couple of friends sometime this month so let's hope that does her good. I had hoped he would have come back and updated us, but not to worry as no doubt he will.

Very well done with your savings, NotNormal, and you're quite right that to under estimate is far better than to over estimate.

A VERY Happy Birthday to you and enjoy your day! :bdaycake:

Not to worry, Modesty, you're not alone, and of course you're no dope - are you?

    Good and regular saving, Hoipolloi.

Well done with your saving and your long lost piggy, Seaotter! All you need now is to fill it up. :D

How terribly honest you are re DH's notes, JoJo, not sure I would have been!! ;)

Ah, there you are, mcjordi, good to hear you're still filling your pot well.

    Brilliant work, siju!!!! :j

Have a really wonderful weekend, folks! :j Keep safe, healthy and saving hard!

    Sue x

Work and family health problems have dragged me away from MSE :( However, I'm back and pleased to report that while my potting has now reduced, I've continued to keep potting away which I'm viewing as a very positive thing indeed :D

    In fact...

I broke my pot open today :( I was worried about how much cash I had in my flat and I'm forking out for a car on Monday which is a little over my budget but such an incredibly good bargain that it is really worth dipping into my savings for.

I started my pot on November 11th so this is everything I've potted in 3 months, 2 weeks and 4 days. (Not included in the count: one Olympic 50p that shouldn't have been put in the pot in the first place (I collect them :D), one U.S. dime and five European cents.)

    ... £245.25

I'm definitely buying a new pot tomorrow and continuing potting :j
