Evening all! just a quick round up - 2 separate 1p's found today - my first road kill of the year. £2.87 potted in total, ooh, its good to be back to my potting, some small sense of normality amongst the chaos. Will try and get more back in the swing of things in due course, but I could use my todo list as wallpaper (for a large room). x
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!
  • Managed to pot £10 on the weekend, but little else.

Hope everyone has a lovely week. :)

    xx

Potted the change from my shopping today - all coins under £1 which today came to £1.25.

There is one shop where I buy my newspapers from and they often give me £2 coins so I always pay with a note. Today was a lucky day so I had a £2 coin to pot as well.

My bank balance should have increased to as I had a small cheque in the post but I missed the bank by five minutes - oh well, it doesn't matter as it can go in tomorrow.

Afternoon everyone. Another bally bitter day again, but at least the wind wasn't as raw so that's a blessing. Keep safe and healthy all, and to those who aren't...get well soon and here are some {{{hugs}}} to help. :D

I am shamed to admit I have had a lack of potting going off other than random odds and sods when I remember, smack on the hand and must make an effort to put what I have saved each week food shopping in to the pot at the very least!!!!!!!

Even random odds and sods are better than no saving, newthrift, but yes, if you are getting the chance to make the effort to put what you've saved each week food shopping into your pot then do so!! Make a real point of getting as much change as possible - and potting it without delay!!! :j
I need help. I have a spreadsheet tracking my loan but my bank account says I still owe them almost double what the sheet says. I know I have it right but I don't know how to prove it.

Has anyone been in this situation before???

Hi Ruth, surely you must have actual proof (bank receipts) of all payments made on your loan, i.e. cheque stubs or your on-line account payments. Sadly, a spreadsheet doesn't really mean much as that's your only your personal tracking and won't mean anything to the bank. Please let us know how you get on with it all as it does seem odd.

Very well done to you and your Dad on your lottery win! :T

Good potting, Chutney!! Your savings are a bit like your name....conserving! Mmmm, then again..maybe not. :(

    A great amount, 32b3.....

    .....you 'n all, tizzi.
Managed to pot £10 on the weekend, but little else.

£10 potted is excellent potting, anothermoneysaver!! IF you were able to save that much each week then that would give you around £500 saved (bearing in mind it won't be the full 52 weeks you will have saved for given when you joined) so be chuffed with it!!! :j

I see you're doing wonderfully as well, Daydreamers! :D Keep it going folks!

    Evening Everyone :)

Had an okay day today, bit of an unexpected rest day because the Tube was a nightmare today and I couldn't get anywhere....so I have managed to catch up with my rest...which is good :)

BUT...am feeling rather sick and dizzy again....which is NOT so good :( So I'm hoping that I will get somewhere with having had the Operation....fingers crossed!!

On the plus side....I'm Potting £8 tonight :D
  • Found a fiver on the Wilkinson's car park today trodden into the dirt (no idea whose it was, and I couldn't see anyone anywhere near it.) So I let it dry in my car, and bought some rice that I needed out of it, and stuck the other four pounds odd into the pot. :D

Also, stuck another four pounds in, that I saved on special offers in Sainsburys! :D
No debt left now. Saved £111 in our sealed pot last year. And £272.13 this year! Also we have £2300 in savings. :j

    SPC #468 :D Target £250 for 2015.
