Potted £3 yesterday after running. Am leading tonight so I'll put in the £2 it would have cost for the session. Found another 1p roadkill so that went in too.
I bought some new plants for my office yesterday. I had a visitor and whilst we were talking I looked around and my Christmas potted hyacinths (MSE offer) have finished flowering so they are looking weary and the other plant I have suffered with the cold over Christmas, or maybe it just dried out. Anyway, both plants looked half-dead. My visitor must have wondered what strange place he had come to, where the staff keep dead plants! I had a walk out to my local DIY superstore at lunchtime and bought two more. A spider plant and a leopard lily, which is huge and lovely and was reduced by 50% to £2.50. I'll put the other £2.50 in the pot when I get home.
Nice to hear about people winning cash and also finding plenty. I need to ring up my phone/broadband/tv supplier too soon as I rang last year and got a discounted price but it meant I'm tied in for another contract year. Anyway, I've come out of the year now so I need to get back on to them to give me a price reduction again. I'll let you know how I get on.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Also, stuck another four pounds in, that I saved on special offers in Sainsburys!
Wow, Nobody's Child that was an ace find - will have to be more on the lookout!
£1.20 potted for me yesterday but will have nothing today as having a no spend day!!Trying for a super saving year :j:

Hello everyone, am potting everything I can, it gives me reassurance!! Have managed £1.70 today so that's a good result but I may have some more change later. I haven't really got back into the swing of work yet, though am enjoying the banter which is keeping me sane. I am surprised how peaceful I still feel, really thought the emotions would kick in after the funeral, but if anything, I have felt at one with myself which seems bizarre when I also feel achingly empty. I think it is because I have lots of happy times to remember and know that Mum lives on in me. I am the person today in many ways due to the good upbringing I had and for that I am proud and grateful. I have been seeing the positives in situations recently as well rather than being cup half full, and I'm sure that is due to the past 6 weeks. My Mum was always cheerful, never had a bad word to say about anyone, nor did she ever bear a grudge, and I hope that when my time in this life is over that is how I will also be remembered.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

Evening everyone
Hope you are are all.
Still not a lot going into SP8but I have just spent SP7 - bought a new hoover and the leftovers are going into SP8.
I have also received a cheque for £50 (YouGov) which I have kept to one side for emergencies and if it survives I will be shoved into the pot. Daren't tempt fate by sticking it straight in.
Not a lot I know but at least its a start.
