Evening all! was given 2 lovely £2's in my change today so into my pot they went for safe keeping. Its been a lovely fresh day here, cold admittedly, but we are in February so I don't think we are doing too badly.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

torialouise - please note that instead of giving you the following No on the list I've given you No 092 I'm sure that member would have returned by now, and if she does, she can have a new one.
A shiny gold star for a lovely welcome, AlwaysHappy! :staradmin Thank you for the help. Messages below for you..everyone else too.
I hope you're soon feeling tip-top, Helen. Some fantastic saving going on! We all get a little demotivated at times, don't worry about it, just look ahead to times when you're feeling good....and revel in them!
Congratulations with the mucky (who cares) £5er, NobodysChild!!!! Personally, I wouldn't care if I had to money launder it!! :rotfl: Not that I do!
Good and regular saving, scotmumof3!!Lynsey wrote:Some great potting going on, but even if you can only pot the odd bit of change, it all adds up.AlwaysHappy wrote:Everyone seems to be doing really well. There is some great potting going on. I like the idea of targets Lynsey, but I am keeping my figures a surprise
I've got to agree with your line quoted, Lynsey, and as you say, even a little is great and all adds up through the course of a year. All the best with your goal. Actually, that's not a bad idea even for those of us who would sooner have a surprise at the end of the year - BUT - still need a certain amount!!! So, AlwaysHappy and for those who wish - you could still pop your daily/weekly savings into a "holding pot" (see the 1st post of Page 1) and head towards a certain goal for each week/month. You could then pot it and forget it; just make sure it's a different Total each month so you don't inadvertently keep tracks. Remember, it doesn't have to be huge, but enough for YOU!
BTW AlwaysHappy, sounds to me as though your Mum was a very special lady and she's left a lot of her in you, treasure it..and her and know doubt she's walking with you.
Thank you, 32b3, I appreciate that as I was absolutely delighted!! Aha, not much longer for you now! :j
Be careful, Frogletina, you can't afford to give money to taxi drivers!shangaijimmy wrote:3 NSD's on the trot for me! No chance today though as heading to soft play with my 2 yr old. 9p road kill potted yesterday though.
Not to worry, shangaijimmy, having fun with our little ones is the most precious thing while they're growing up, cherish it. :A
Very good saving, chickadee, and great offers with the plants.
Oooh I sympathise with you, Lynne, it must be bitter up there!!Make sure you and DH stay warm! BTW, NPD days are no good so I hope you're putting lots of IOUs to make up for NSDs! Strewth, it sounds a lot like the SAS here at the MO.
Hello there, b_e_g! Lovely to see you and I'm so pleased your SPC 7 savings came in handy. Very well done on your YG £50!!! :T Mine's about half way.
Excellent on the £17 AND the £100 for the scrap gold, Rosy!!
A warm welcome home, little_sweetie, it's so good to see you again. Sorry to hear you've had that awful prolonged cough, T &I had exactly the same for weeks. I hope you're soon rid of yours completely. :grinheartWell done your FIL and thanks for popping your banked amount on your siggy.
I'm really happy for you, Ruth, it's good to now it's all sorted out out.Lynsey wrote:Sizzling pubs have a "blue cross" sale on and some decent meals for only £2.99. I had 7 oz gammon, egg, chips and peas and it was a decent sized meal.
If you sign up with your local Sizzling pub, you can get a £5 e-voucher - £5 off a £10 food spend. They send you feedback surveys (quick and easy) and you get more £5 e-vouchers!! Not worth cooking!!
And a very large lime and soda was only 80p. Lol
Worth a look, but their 2 for £6.50 meals are a bargain anyway.
That's a great saving, Lynsey, and as it was at the bottom of the last page I thought I'd give folk a chance to see it here. A gold star to you for the help. :staradmin
Well done with those vouchers, Modesty, and what you did with them. Thanks for the update on your DD, good luck to her.I hope you all have a great Friday, Potters! :j Keep safe, VERY warm, healthy and saving!!

Haven't been potting regularly as I should. I don't buy groceries, DH does. So never have spare cash in hand. Though I claimed back £2.80 today from TFL for a delayed service. Every little MSE tip helps.:D That went straight to the pot.
Originally DH and I started to pot for overpaying the mortgage. Soon realised it is better off in the mortgage account than in the pot. Last month we overpayed by £500(a rarity) This month so far £130. However it is the pot at home that I intend to fill by November.:)SPC 08 - #452 - £415

Morning Everyone
Had a rough day yesterday....but I'm determined to draw a line underneath it...and just move on....I'm doing so much better than before and I will continue to thrive no matter what gets thrown at me!!
I Potted a small amount of change last night but can't remember exactly what....but, every little bit helps
And even though this Week is a lean Week money-wise, I'm NOT going anywhere near my Pot...It SHALL remain Sealed and full of change until 5th November....I'm already getting excited about Opening Day although I know I shouldn't wish my Year away
I'm out all day today but will try to have something to Pot a bit later on xXx0 -
Morning and happy Friday to you all! 85p potted yesterday after shopping. Already on a reduced shopping budget this month so hoping money left over week by week will be a lot more next month!
Also feel very proud as managed to put together what I think is a true reflective monthly budget last night as previous budget wasn't really working, we weren't taking into account things like car MOT, school uniforms, trips etc. in fact there was a lot we weren't taking account of so no wonder we were spending beyond! Anyway after reviewing the MSE site I have honed it a lot. Feeling a lot happierTrying for a super saving year :j:
