Evening all. £2.01 potted for me this evening, so its all going in the right direction. Everytime I wear my lovely coat I bought out of some of last years pot I think of how fantastic it is to have some money of "mine" that I can treat myself if I so wish without having to feel guilty misappropriating the funds. So, carry on the good work everyone - opening day will be around before you know it and every 1p extra in there will be a bonus!!I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

Good evening everyone,
Just popping on to say that money is still tight this month, but I had 65p left from last week's G/C so I am putting that in my pot. Hope to be able to pot more money soon.
Bye for now and thanks for all the support.:)SPC 11 #4450 -

That's why I went back to potting £7.00 every Friday as well as any odd change and roadkill.
I hope after my holidays (9th March :j) I will be able to up it and am also going to start to include any monies left from the grocery challenge.

Oooops! I was forgetting that, Lynne, that's all right then. Not long now til the 9th, but enough time for plenty of excitement to be building! :j
I understand you, Baby Angel, so you do the very best you can and save in your pot when the opportunity presents itself. However, you can always save in the pot for X amount of time and then bank it...every week/month. Good luck in your saving.
Ahh, there you are at last, mummytummy...though raiding DH's wallet???! Unheard of on here!!;);););)
Well done with that budget, chasingthedream, it sounds as though you've completely got it sussed now! :T
Excellent potting, 166million!
I see your point about not frisking DS2, scotmumof3, poor lad would be horrified, I know mine would!! So, how did the parsnip soup turns out?Queenriderbrekke wrote:22p road kill so far this year. Tesco is going to have Cinema tickets for £2.50 Clubcard voucher so will pot the money I save on cinema tickets.
It's lovely to see you drop by, QRBK, and here's a gold star for the T!sco cinema tickets tip for us all. :staradmin Don't forget where we are mind!I think it took me about a year Sue to be able to claim it. Only got a few hundred points ATM - seems an awfully long way to go to be able to claim another £50.Haven't had time to do VO surveys all last year - quite often I would claim £10 Sainsbugs vouchers, use them for shopping and then pot £10 from shopping money. I just don't seem to get as much time these days.

Mine takes me at least a year, b_e_g, sometimes I wonder if it's worth it as, yes, they are all so time-consuming, but it's an amount that is good to have when it comes. Talking of time...it just flies!
It's always good to see you. :grinheart
Well saved, Kerry, and by golly don't you ever get some roadkill!! :DHave you ever thought of potting it in a separate pot to see how much you get over the course of a year?
Marvellous potting, chasingthedream, a £10er's a lot of cash! :j Our DGD is having her eyebrows done, I thought she meant paying to have them plucked...but not so, dyed and goodness knows what. The same with you?
Good luck to your Nephew in the judo comp, 32b3, well done with the potting too.AlwaysHappy wrote:Everytime I wear my lovely coat I bought out of some of last years pot I think of how fantastic it is to have some money of "mine" that I can treat myself if I so wish without having to feel guilty misappropriating the funds.

That's mighty good advice to all potters, AlwaysHappy, but especially to recent joiners.
Dow what you can when you can, wealthygirl.

Hello potters,
I haven't put anything away all week so raided my purse this morning and put £4.68 away so I'm glad to get something in there.
Hoping to have a low budget grocery shopping tomorrow and put some more away. I've got loads in the freezer so will try to work with that.

Thank you, everyone, for the warm welcome back
I had a rubbish night's sleep last night (don't quite know why) I woke at 1.45am and couldn't go back to sleep until around 6am, then woke again at 7.30amConsequently, I didn't feel like taking OH to work so that I could have the car. The £1.50 which I would have spent on parking has therefore been potted. Every cloud has a silver lining....:)
Hope everyone else is ok xSealed Pot Challenge #012

Evening Everyone
Feeling a bit down tonight....I can't even explain why....But I'm sure I'll perk up sooner or later....
I've been Potting a bit of change over the last couple of days....Probably amounts to a fiver or so....I like the fact that I'm not keeping an exact track of what I'm putting in....I tend to keep a check of when I put in a note...but apart from that, any change is just extra as far as I'm concerned....
Hope everyone is well on this freezing perishingly-cold Saturday Evening....I'm debating whether to get some sleep or do some Work....or get some sleep and then do some Work...I'm sure I'll figure it out sooner or later...
Enjoy your Weekend Everybody xXx0 -
