sue the soup turned out really nice thanks. DH and I had it one day and I took the rest to work with me yesterday,. DH wasn't best pleased I didn't leave any for him. :D
Frisked DS2 and managed to scrounge 25p from him :rotfl: I have potted £2 which brings it up to £2.25 for the last couple of days.

Ooh, Scotmumof3, that recipe sounds lovely, I shall be giving that a try at some point. I have been trying to get into the habit of taking a hm soup to work for lunch to save some pennies (for my pot of course) so hopefully will add that to my limited repertoire. I have been watching ds at the football tournament today, he scored two goals bless him, so although overall his team didn't do too well, he was chuffed to bits. Its heart warming. On a potting front £1.46 to add so its been a great day.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

Evening all and a pretty good nice sunny day here, though a little windy at times and a tad cold in the shade. No complaints though. lol

scotmumof3 - my hubby makes a nice (he says) spiced parsnip soup and similar. He roasts the parsnips first as he says it brings out the sugars and gives a better taste. I don't like parsnips!!
Luckily he also makes a nice carrot and coriander soup and a wicked minestrone. All done via the pressure cooker............... bless him.

Potted a single £2 coin today, but I'll take that as I'm not getting many £2 coins, even from the s/scan tills!!

  • Wow, can't believe its Sunday evening already! Sounds like everyone is doing really well with their potting. A lovely shiny £2 coin for me today just like you Lynsey :)

Thanks Sue, looking forward to payday now so I can set my budget in motion. I used to get eyebrows dyed and waxed but costing too much so cut down to just waxing!

3 weeks tomorrow until baby three is due so spending this week packing a bag, washing baby clothes and generally getting house sorted!

Hope everyone has a good week - happy potting!! :)
Trying for a super saving year :j:

Managed to walk past Cafe Nero without going in, so I've potted the £2 which I saved. Got home and had a coffee instead.
