You did brilliantly at Mr T's, jakes-mum, your pot will thank you! I'm glad you explained the bit scotmumof3 was talking about, I went back and re-read it 3 times!! Poor little DD, but at least it's now out.

See, knew you'd be confused :D Now i've been over, I can tell you all about it.

Basically, My mum wouldn't leave DD's ipad alone every time we went over (or she came here!) and asked me yesterday how much it cost. I said 'you want one now don't you' and she said yes, my dad pipes up with 'she's not having one, too expensive, blah de blah de blah' so I went home, got DH to take me to the shops and bought her an ipad mini as a present. Took it over today all wrapped up (DH was making out it was a box of chocs lol as shes on a diet :o)

As predicted, I got a telling off by mum for spending my money on her and my dad was trying to pretend he wasn't interested :rotfl: but she was very pleased and I know full well they have both been playing on it ever since we went home this afternoon :D

Just 20p in the pot today as the tooth fairy nicked my £1 coin ;) She's much happier now Sue, we have this every single time she gets a wobbly tooth  we're only 7 down

    £8.90 potted today.

Chickadee. Glad you enjoyed the museum but if you lived here, I bet you wouldn't go to museums as much as you think!! The last time I went to a museum was about 30 years ago and I live about 30 mins from most of them :D

Katsta1 - which month are you gong to Vegas in? I went in June last year and it was horrendously hot. Take loads of changes of clothes if you are going in the summer months. Its a great place though.... for a couple of days!!

Jakes-mum, funny you bought an ipad as a gift this week, so did I, mine was a surprise too. They haven't taken it out of the box though because they think its too big a present for a congrats gift :( I ain't taking it back, so they might as well!!!

    I hope everyone is well

Hello everyone, I'm back. Had this week off work and been up North for Mums funeral which took place on Friday. It snowed on Thursday and I worried about that, and then cried for hours into the early hours of Friday morning, and had no idea how I would get through the day. Anyway, I woke up and felt very calm, the sun shone and I even managed to read the beautiful (though I say so myself) eulogy which I had written for my Mum. The years she dragged me to elocution and drama lessons certainly paid off!!! The day couldn't have gone better and I honestly feel Mum would have enjoyed the day and she would have been proud of me. I have grown a lot as a person in the past 6 weeks, and do you know what, I'm comfortable with the person I have become, and of course in the main that is due to the fabulous up bringing I had. So, I am still grieving for the huge loss, but, I am proud that I had such a lovely Mum (and Dad RIP for that matter) and I'm doing ok.
I have thrown all my loose change into my tin and look forward to sharing in the love and banter on here once again.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi Everyone :)

I won £2.60 on the lottery this week, so put it in my SP :)
Also put £10 in the SP last week, as my son was home from school almost all week poorly so didn't pay for school meals.
Found £2 on the floor last week and that was also added, as was the 2p that I found on the bathroom floor.

Not a bad week for potting!

I popped £1 in my tin last night as I'd used it for a trolley at Aldi then promptly forgot about it, so in the pot it wen.
