  • The entire contents of my jean spending have just been emptied into my pot. A grand total of.......£2.90. Think me and the hubster will have a great Christmas night out/treat. I wanted £100 and must've put fifteen to twenty pounds in so have high hopes of achieving my target.
Thanks to all for your enthusiasm it is catching.

    Hi folks

Just about to pot a lovely golden £2 coin :D
I've been going through 'stuff' and found one of the original all-gold colour £2 coins that were mentioned earlier - did someone say they're only worth face value? I'll pot it if that's the case!

jakes-mum that's such a nice thing to do (wish you were my mum:D):D

Haha, we've just completely confused the rest of the potters :rotfl: for anyone who's wondering, I had an extra bit to my last post but realised afterwards that it might get seen before I can spring my surprise tomorrow so I deleted it. Scotsmumof3 must have read it before I got it deleted lol, will repost it tomorrow afternoon though :D

Also forgot to mention the trauma in the jakes-mum household today! Next door must have thought DD was dying with her screams and uncontrollable sobbing, me going 'you have to move it' and her wailing 'I cant! It really hurts! Owwwwwww! Don't move it! No!' . . . All that over a wobbly tooth :rotfl: it finally came out with a choc ice and more screams over the blood :o

    36p potted today

I have £3 left for tomorrow. It was my youngest daughter's birthday today and I spent a lot on food today as I did a birthday tea. Was pleased that I didn't go over budget.

I had already put money aside for her birthday presents, which I bought earlier, so no extra spending there out of my day to day spending.

Hopefully I can pot the £3 tomorrow night.

  • Thank you again to everyone welcoming me in. Such a friendly forum.

Am pleased to say that I have potted £10 today. I went out last night to a family party, with every intention of buying a round. However being heavily pregnant I was bought a few lime and soda's and told not to worry about it when I offered. :)
Trying for a super saving year :j:

    - please note that instead of giving you the following No on the list I've given you No 087 I'm sure that member would have returned by now, and if she does, I'll give her a new one. ;)BTW, sorry to keep you waiting. :)

Morning folks, I hope you're all doing well and having a lovely weekend. Be careful of that bitter wind IF you need to go out!! BTW, thanks for the RL meaning...I must live a sheltered life. :(

A gold star for you, Modesty, thanks for a perfect welcome. :staradmin Thank Heavens your DD is all right, but what a scare for you all! Poor girl must have been in agony with it, I know my DH was when he passed one. Your poor lass has certainly been through the mill during her young life, I hope she's well from here on.

    Good saving, Kerry.....

-and well done with the buying of those silver and gold nuggets, Rosy! :j

I haven't been on for a while to declare been busy glossing doors and decorating my bedroom, I have potted £71 in Facebook sales, got rid of some curtains, a lamp table, a lamp and some tiles :). God my house looks so much tidier now it's getting cleared out of junk. Also 68p came from money I found in a draw while looking for things to sell lol[

Excellent saving, the.new.me!! A firm reminder that - if you don't need it, flog it!!

Still saving well then, Helen, you're doing sooooo very well!! It's great to hear you're feeling so much better!

Not to worry, mcjordi, there's plenty of time to go yet.

Oh what a rotten time you've had recently, smiffy!! :kisses3: Still, it's the 1st of Feb today so I do hope things pick up for you.

Same here, Lynsey, but why would anyone not do?! Makes perfect sense to me. ;)

Keep it going, ETO, you're doing so well.

You did brilliantly at Mr T's, jakes-mum, your pot will thank you! I'm glad you explained the bit scotmumof3 was talking about, I went back and re-read it 3 times!! Poor little DD, but at least it's now out.

I do so hope you're soon feeling better, scotmumof3, there seem to be less colds this winter, but more chest/cough problems, though maybe you're a definite exception. :undecided
