£3.50 in the pot today. Friday is pay day and I still have £120 left in my budget but I don't really want to draw that out and pot that as that is too much money to just have in the house and losing interest so I have opened a separate savings bank account to keep it safe and put my money from my pot when it fills up is this ok to do?

tizzi13, that should be fine -- I'm emptying my pot next payday and putting it in my savings account because like you, I'm concerned about my notes. As Sue told me on the last page:

if you have any worries about yours then put them in a separate pot and bank them every week or month or so. You need to be happy and content with your savings so do what's best for you! :)

Personally, I think banking your notes to keep them safe would be absolutely fine and can be counted, as long as it's not put in the bank account you use for your regular spending ;) Since you've opened a separate account, I don't see an issue :)

Well done to everyone potting great amounts :T Work's coffee machine guzzled my change (and gave me half a cup of coffee instead of a full cup ) so today's pot is... *drumroll* 2p... I suppose it's better than nothing :p

If you are banking some of your potting then don't forget to put it on your signature for later reference or Sue-UU will be putting us all on the naughty step.

I had another NSD :) so also had a NPD :(

Hope you all have a thrilling Thursday

Evening all, hope you aren't getting the snow - unless you want it. We are on amber alert and have been told to expect between 5 - 15cm of snow. 15 cm will be on higher ground, so we should get away with 5cm (if any).

And you don't want to be on the "naughty step" at this time of year........................it's freezing!! :D

    I finally got that £2 coin (c/o Morries s/scan tills) and a £1 coin - potted £3.

    Off to check the weather!!

potted another £1.27 today. also treated myself to a scratch card when I popped to shop and won £6 so that will be put in tomorrow when I cash it.
Have also just paid off rest of OD and gotta say it feels good.
2016 was both financially and emotionally. 2017 will be our year.
