  • Hope your medication helps Helen!

Just dropping in to say hi. NSD yesterday so that also meant nothing to pot either. :( However, tomorrow should be a good day for potting!

Covered in snow here, the cars had a job this morning, all skidding over the roads, stuck on hills etc etc. Not great!

I've managed to be cold free all winter until now, and am sitting here feeling sorry for myself. Only 2 days of January left! I'll be glad to see the back of it. :D

  • A few nuggets have gone in my pot recently in all different colours. I feel like i'm doing so well at not spending much this year however, my car goes in to be fixed Tuesday :(

I went out at lunch on Tuesday but rather that just buying my lunch i got some brown wraps, lettuce and reduced sandwich fillings which has been split over 3 days for me and a work colleague. I'm counting that as taking my own lunch into work though because it's not really different from me getting it with the weekly shop :)

Good afternoon, everyone! I hope you're all enjoying a lovely, though very snowy day for you Northerners and Scottish folk. Take care all and keep warm and keep well, but if you're not then here are some {{{hugs}}} to help get you there. :D

A super lot you've saved, Anna, well done! :j

Ah, so it was the posts you were trying to catch up with, 32b3, don't worry too much - unless you want to.

Wow, my first star thanks Sue UU, I really feel part of the gang now and will endeavour to earn a few more before the year end.

You mean you didn't feel one of us before, cattysmum???! Each of our members is a huge part of "the gang" gold star or not. Stars are good as it shows you've earned them, but mainly they are to encourage us all to make folk feel welcome and to do the best we can for each other. :kisses3::kisses::kisses3::kisses::kisses3::kisses: :kisses3::kisses:

Sue-UU, the trouble is that I didn't anticipate putting in so many notes into my pot and it's one of those Poundland tins that needs a tin-opener to get money out from :p I distinctly remember putting in £60 worth of notes, there's might be an extra fiver or two but I'm not 100%, and I remember intending to put a £10 note in the pot but I'm not sure if I did or changed my mind and spent it instead... And I've only been potting since mid-November!

I've had a think and I'm going to let my pot fill up through February, then when I empty my bank account the day before payday to put in the pot, I'll shuffle all the money so far into an ISA and put the building society book in the loft. :D

Ah...I see what you mean, Miami, in which case your 2nd paragraph sounds the ideal way to deal with it. Where there's a will there's a way and - you just found it! ;)

Mmmm, I can see why you'd think as you did re the assessor, Saver-upper, but sadly they don't work quite as fast as we'd hope. I take it that it's still there? I'd certainly check to get a rough idea and hopefully give them a gee-up due to it having the potential to cause an accident with folk keep slowing down and gawping!

Well done, Daydreamers, a good sum safely away.....

......you too, Nix, though you're never going to "smash" your pots in November are you?????!! IF that's what you mean then do have a look at the 1st post of page 1 to see how to get your cash out - but - leave your pots intact. Very well done with the budget program.

And you don't want to be on the "naughty step" at this time of year........................it's freezing!! :D

Now there's an incentive to behave, Lynsey! Look out, jakes-mum! Do be careful where you are, it sounds horrible. Yes, I adore the snow, but not at the peril of others!!

Ooooh wouldn't it be lovely to get another record amount this year, Lynsey. :j I hope you sleep better tonight. Love the "Helen 'o clock" bit.

You're doing well regardless of a NSW, anothermoneysaver, so be happy with the way things are (we all get them) and look forward to Friday! :D

Good thinking with regards to NOT drawing your budget saving, tizzi, far better to leave it where it is and play safe. Don't forget though, it can legitimately be included with your SPC as it's money you've saved. Don't forget to pop it on your siggy each time though. ;)

50p potted for me today. Can't believe how much I am saving I don't think I could do it without you all so thanks :T:T

That is just the best news, scotmumof3, at least you're happy and saving well which is great! :j

Thanks a lot for sorting the "don't forget to put it on your siggy" bit, Lynne, it's good to have an eagle eye looking out! ;)

    Good for you, Chutney.....

.....you as well, Daddybear, and very well done with the scratchcard AND your OD, splendid!! :T

Let's hope those antibiotics soon help you feel a whole lot better, Helen, it sounds like what I had before and after Christmas. Take care of yourself and stay warm as well as drinking plenty.
Hope to get back to posting a bit more regular too hope Jakes Mum is being good

Good luck with the former, LC 2, though with the latter??? You know jake's-mum couldn't be good if she were given a Sainthood! :rotfl: It's so lovely to see you back and I hope you've had a wonderful time away and.....will be with us more!

    Brilliant work, Saver!

You're doing wonderfully, Ruth! Keep it up and very best wishes with the car, hope it's not too costly for you.

You've done so well, siju, keep going strong! :D

£10 left after the shopping..all going in the put. Did a M!rrisons match and more shop today and have earned our 2nd £5 voucher!!!! Brilliant and that'll be another £10 in the pot!!!

Enjoy your Thursday, Potters! Stay safe, warm, healthy and keep saving!!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Afternoon all. Just a dusting of snow here this morning, so can't complain. Very bright and sunny tbh, but still a little cold and especially in the shade!!
    LoL..."Helen-o-clock"...I like it!! :D

And 3:41am is exactly that time. lol
    Wishes with that throat infection.

Saver88 - excellent savings there and much better than those s/scan tills. I don't believe in paying for hospital parking though, especially for patients. One day it will be free I hope (like some places).

Potted 4 x £1 coins today after another Wetherspoons lunch. Coffee went up from 69p unlimited (until 2pm) to 99p, but still unlimited.

Well done - great getting rid of such a mill-stone eh

I decided it was time to give our bedroom a really good clean and pulled the bed right out and round the room to clean under and behind. My reward (apart from a clean bedroom) was a whole 10p :rotfl: straight in my pot !

Thanks for the mention Sue-UU and hope you all staying warm and safe with all this snow etc

Potted 59p today, all coins under £1.

I also made a saving of £1.25 at the shop, but most of that went on chocolate! Bad really as I gave away most of my chocolate at Christmas as if it is in the house I eat it too quickly.
