Still no potting from me, but on the upside as mentioned by Sue UU no spending either so it is a win for my purse but a loss for my pot. Ho hum am sure something coppers will be found somewhere in the house over the weekend, will check in again tomorrow. Take care everyone and hold onto your hats if you step out.

DH and I popped out as my roasting dish finally gave up the ghost
picked up one in BHS reduced to £10 (very pleased until i got home and realised it was the exact size of my oven so if it expands I wont be able to get it out again! :rotfl: ah well, all ready for my new, huge single oven later in the year) had a wander round and DH [STRIKE]moaned about[/STRIKE] reminded me of the fact we don't have a bath mat (haven't had one since we moved in 10 years ago, but it seems its a huge issue now
) picked one up half price for £10, went to the till and it scanned through at £8, so another lovely £2 coin in the £2 coin tin
Also had 21p in change so thats in the terramundi keeping warm with its new friends.
Have been Youtubing NY ready for a trip and trying to make head and tail of the subway, it certainly not as easy as ours! can't find a map that shows me the attractions on top of the tube map! took me 1/2 hr just to find the nearest station to our hotel as there didn't seem to be any reference to the going across streets, only the up and down ones :rotfl: its going to be funSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

great finds! That's actually reminded me to buy a bath mat, I've been using towels out of fear that my roommates will destroy it but now it's an all female home I'm a lot at ease.
I'm sure once you actually get to New York you'll figure out the tube system. To be honest I've always thought that our tube maps were a bit complicated for travellers coming to the UK although I've never been abroad to compare lol. Ahhh YouTube to the rescue.
Hurrah finally have a £2 coin. Two in fact. Popped to poundland to get some cough medicine for my room mate and before handing over the money I specifically asked if they had any £2 coins and they did! Woot.
Better yet my roommate also let me keep the change yayyy so £6 potted making it a total of £7.50 todaySPC8 #200 -

Gold coins are such a rarity! I remember in November and December most of my change being £2 coins. Now I wonder if that's because all the potters have opened up their very full pots to help for Christmas.
Every time I do the weekly shop I always ask for my change in £2 coins but more recently a lot of shops say they don't have any £2 coins. Brings a wee smile to my face as I know it's most likely in somebody's precious pot
Ahhh I'm sure we'll find the precious gold soon
I'd not thought about that, but in December especially, I had loads of £2 coins given me in change, and hardly any prior to that for months, and none since either. I bet that's why, lots of people saving their coins up throughout the year and then releasing them on the run up to christmas.
