  • £3.00 potted as I skipped lunch with colleague. Usually I go out with him on Fridays. Took a sandwich to work instead and potting the lunch money minus the cost of sandwich.

    Hugs to you Lynne.

Saver-upper are you any closer to getting the bedrooms organised? It must be a nightmare having the stuff all over the place. I hope you can see carpet soon. :)

Aww,thank you for asking chickadee. That is lovely.
It is a true nightmare at the moment .
With work and life getting in the way,we can really only empty rooms,sugar-soap,paint,Pollyfill,etc on weekends.First of three rooms was painted by OH in the Christmas holidays, its carpet was then laid last Wednesday(7th).He finished painting the second room last weekend.
My plan was to have that carpetted this week,so we could move the contents of the 3rd room into it so we could paint THAT this weekend.
We were informed second room's carpet (ordered at the same time as first room's,3rd Jan),won't be with us til this coming Tue.Well, there is no point moving third room's contents into second room to paint tomorrow, only to move everything back to third room so second can be carpetted on Tue.Arrrgghhhhhh!!!
So much to my frustration (though I think secretly,OH is relieved at a weekend off painting),we cannot do anything this weekend, except perhaps [STRIKE]nag[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]pester[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]threaten[/STRIKE] encourage kids to declutter their belongings abit more.
Potting-wise,it is also abit messy.Because I can't find my "budget book",I am not accurately recording my spends/roadkill/money intended for the pot.I have bundles of coins all over the place (kitchen benches, pockets, drawers, etc),and trying to remember what each one is.On Sunday I will sort it all out.Honest.I know I definitely had a £5 note, refund from swimming pool for a cancelled swimming lesson this week, but by the time I got home,I only had change from buying a few bits for tea with it.But I will repay it.

I owe my sealed pot 4 pounds from 4 NSDs but as there is no change in my purse, I have not managed to do this.

So I've been feeling rotten for the past couple of days in a physical sense but on top of the world in other ways....

I'm trying to eat more healthily and have cut out Dr Pepper which is REALLY hard for me as I drink waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much of it....so consequently I have added Dr Pepper Withdrawal to my other Physical Symptoms! LoL...Oh well, it will work out better in the long run...

I also went for a Swim and did 15 lengths...not as much as I wanted to do but it's a definite start...

Oh Lynne...I'm sorry that you are worrying....Just try to breathe and keep the faith until you hear from him again....And do let us know when you DO hear from him....

Am Potting £5.70 tonight and I feel really happy with that....I might have a little more to Pot tonight when I get back from Work, but we shall see about that.... :D

*Hugs* to anyone that needs it :)
  • Not been able to pot this week simply because my commitment to frugal 2015 is going so well so no change left in purse! Going to have to change goal posts possibly adopting the £2 whenever I get one pot:)

Morning all, hope al are keeping warm!!

Baby Angel - fantastic news re that refund. That really gives a boost, a bit like when you open your pots on "pay day", though multiplied for you. Enjoy.

Lynne, thoughts are with you. Take care.

Just potted another 15p worth of road kill. Big house cleaning afternoon scheduled today, so highly likely to be a NSD. unless the afternoon becomes so pained as we feel the need for a curry takeaway!!!!!!!
