We do not get a chance to pay our council tax over 12 months although I daresay they would alter if we asked them. I like having two months of the year with a spare £150 though as February is my birthday which usually involves a family meal out which can be expensive and car insurance is due in March.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. We have reached half our £1000 per month savings target and am just waiting on my payday - this Friday at long last! and OH payday which is next Tuesday to finally declare the monthly total for January. It has been a long month since we were paid early in December and had tree lopping costs and son in law's 30th birthday this month. However next month is my birthday and a family christening up country involving a two night stay in a hotel and car insurance so more expenses. Oh for a month with no big bills!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. January has been quite a dry month savings wise as I booked a family holiday for next year that needs paying. So have only managed £126 this month, I won't update the front page until the 1st Feb though just in case I manage to move some monies around0

Can I join up please? Bit late but I'm aiming for 10K this year. Very very doubtful I'll make it though0

I tell you something, being a bit OCD with balances in my account (nice round numbers please!) really helps with the savings! I've made several small payments this month just by rounding up balances, it's really helped get my Jan savings up over the £500 mark now. Will wait until the end of Jan for final totals, but a bit ahead of schedule so far[STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000

Payday tomorrow and I have absolutely smashed my target for this month!
This has been the largest amount of money that my wife and I have *ever* saved and invested in one month.
Mostly thanks to a very generous Christmas in terms of matched bets and freeing up £200 from a utility provider.
Here's to February feeling shorter, eh?0 -
My payday tomorrow so I have put in a further £250 to my investment portfolio and hoping to make the last tranche of £250 next week after OH gets paid which will make my first month's target of £1k. Kept within budget overall but just need to see what overtime DH gets paid this month as to whether I can make the final £250 tranche in January. Unfortunately as the fund price has gone up today presumably my £250 will buy less units than the previous £500 I invested at the beginning of the month although of course the price could go down again by early next week by the time the deal goes through. I can't worry too much about that though.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
