I keep logging in to my bank account and transferring £5 or £10 to my savings every so often. Small amounts and don't even really notice it going. That's on top of the £1000 we've saved this month as a couple for out house deposit (which isn't part of my small but still tricky goal to save £1000 in 2015). Feeling good!0

Funny you should post that, we booked a holiday last night for next year got to pay in full now though (well when CC statement is due in March), so it just means less to be saved over the next couple of months, but we didn't dip into the savings we already had for it0 -

Me too, but I've squeezed out as much as I can. Don't want to go into the overdraft on the current account! Can't wait for OH to get paid tomorrow so that I can save some more :j

Where is your blog SF? Would certainly be interested in reading it.
Half way through the month and I have now put £500 in my Vanguard LS 60 fund, £250 on the monthly payment and an additional £250 payment after I saved £400 by getting my trees lopped cheaper than I thought. Will wait until DH and I get paid at the end of the month and then hopefully put in another £500 to clock up my first £1k :jI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Starting this also, aiming for £8000 in 2015. Need a total of 15K minimum by Aug 2016 (my 40th) to finally get back on property ladder.
This month have put £300 away, £100 to my Zopa, £200 to ISA.
May have a bit more before end of month too...
Feb will be tricky as car insurance, tax due, and my car will shortly need new front tyres, but hopefully March onwards will be better.... Ah there is the bonus of no council tax for two months, and also £245 pending in my quidco.......
Thanks, Al.0 -

Just a word of warning - it can be difficult to get all of your money out of Zopa, especially if your savings in there are quite old like mine.... pay a great rate but its going to take me 4 years to close it down.
I never knew about your blog SF - I will read it now!My Goal: From 1st of Jan 2015 to 31st of December 2015 is to save 30000.
48.78% towards 2015 target.
105.3% towards 2014 target. :j0
