I'd like to declare £1,344.69 for July, not too bad as there was an insurance bill this month plus another biggish bill. I've tried pretty hard to spend as little as possible this month though apart from the bills so it just goes to show. I should really raise my target but am still too happy seeing that I've passed it!

On a side note, I don't know if people recall I said on this thread I was burgled last December. I knew there would be a hike in the home insurance renewal premium but nearly fainted when I got it as they quoted more than £860! I never just renew anyway but a quick search online among other providers got a quote for £220. It just goes to show that you should always shop round (I know everyone on MSE knows that anyway but just offered this as an example!)

  • Declaring £0 for July which wasn't unexpected with switching job and moving flats. I'm expecting a lot better this month possibly even my best month so far if my estimates are accurate.

SF sorry to hear about your scare; hopefully everything will be okay.

I managed £1,219.04 in July, which takes me to just over 92% of the way there. Also it was a five-week month between pay-days too so considering that, really happy.

Well done all, keep up the good work. And even if you didn't have a particularly good month, no worries. Just move on on to the next month :)

    All the best slowlyfading.
