  • Looking better this month already received refund of excess rent payment from my old place plus deposit returned.

Should be getting switching bonus from Yorkshire next week; only thing I need to watch out for is final bill payments as I haven't received them yet.

    Feeling positive.

I don't know if any of you read my MFW diary, but we've had a bit of a scare this week. I'm going to take a bit of a step back from MSE but will still update the spreadsheet when I can.

Keep going everyone, you're all doing amazingly :)

Sorry to hear that slowlyfading, I hope all goes smoothly from here on in. Not long to go xxx

Well done tjp70 that's great news. I hope to be in your position one day :)
  • For July 2418
  • SF I need to pull out of the challenge for the remainder of the year. Sorry.

Sorry to hear about your recent scare. I hope everything else goes well and I hope you and baby are in the best of health.
  • Got paid from my freelance job today, which has pushed me over the 50% mark :j.

Am having to try and save as much as possible as I am not going to earn that month for August, meaning September may be a bit of a bust savings wise, so trying to make up for it now.

Thank you all for your congratulations.
Congratulations on being mortgage free!! (I'm green with envy!)
How long did it take you to pay off?

    Hi Chelseablue,

May 2005 we remortaged with Nationwide and had a balance of £92000.00. IN March 2006, we started overpaying £100/month at first and then increased as time went on. Mortgage was paid off 8 years early.

Sorry to hear you have had a scare SF. Take care.

  • Hi all,

Nothing for July as I started a new job mid-month and will only get paid end August. Got a nice redundancy package, but this will be paid out soon so will not add this to my total.

    Happy savings everyone,

Can someone tell me how to access SF's other thread? It's 7 August now, the date is looming and I need to know how everyone is in her family! Who knows, there may already be a mini-SF.
