Number 158 declaring £670 for July thank you. Pretty pleased with myself considering I was sunning it up in Vegas at the start of the month.
Still on target for the £8k I hoped to save but got a few trips away planned so will have to dig deep!
Hope everyone else had a good month.Save 12k in 2015 (£8k) #1580 -

Unfortunately I've to report a drop in my savings... I used my savings to op on mortgage so my total is down to £4500. Shall do my best to get up again. Feeling guilty!April 2021: Total debt £16016

Been a busy month in the savings department...
Firstly Virgin ISA rate was cut so funds transferred to a 2 year fix for better interest.
Then because the maximum I can pay into the regular saver is £1,000 per month I have opened a new savings account for the balance of savings.
On the plus side, 5 pay days this month meant I could save £1,503.27.
As the savings are going well, decided to increase target to £15,000 for this year.
Also increased the amount saved into my "annual bills" account (not part of the savings total).
Looking forward to August when I will finally hit the 5 figure savings point for this year:j.
Good luck for next week SF - hope it all goes well for you.Save £12k in 2019 #85 £1,500/£15,000 (10%)"Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal" Henry Ford0 -
Number 42 here, declaring my minimal savings of £100 and abysmal updating streak to the board!
Unfortunately I paid my deposit to the wedding photographer this month of £200 and had another £200 of car repairs.
Looking ahead I have a spendy month in August... I have three birthdays, with my fianc! being one, the latter of which I have paid for us to spend a few nights in Cornwall! Hotel payment is due this week so will hit next months savings.
I'm majorly impressed with everyone else's totals and don't know how you do it!0 -
Hi everyone, and a special mention to SlowlyFading for keeping the forum going when you're probably pretty busy getting ready for your imminent arrival!
Pretty good saving month for us, the only unexpected costs were in chasing up some lost property I left on a train in Switzerland during a visit to family there....so annoying. We also had quite a lot of socialising, with both lads finishing their uni courses, so a few quid going into celebrating with them.
So am declaring £2247.33 for July.
Happy saving everyone!Save 12k in 2013-2014-2015-2016-2017-2018-2019-2020-2021-2022 - then early-retired.0 -
I don't know if any of you read my MFW diary, but we've had a bit of a scare this week. I'm going to take a bit of a step back from MSE but will still update the spreadsheet when I can.
Keep going everyone, you're all doing amazinglyBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
