Declaring slightly early for May- £1,877 thanks mostly to sales bonus from work.

8 weeks to go to the wedding! Off for a meeting with reception venue later today and then I'm heading to Wembley tomorrow for the FA cup final (fingers and toes crossed for a Villa win!).

Hope you are resting up SF :)

May update and £1,521 saved - We have booked a holiday to Tenerife for July - our first break of the year and it is very much needed!!

I'm expecting a pretty tight couple of months as both car insurances are due, MOT on one and holiday spends etc but hopefully I should be able to siphon enough off without expecting impact on monthly spends.

New House Mortgage £197,836 (4% Paid) Aim £194,000 by December 2015

  • I'm pleased with this month overall, paid car insurance in one lump plus paid MOT last month so that is two major bills out of the way for now. saved £775 which would not be anything special on it's own in a 5 Friday month but take into account the car insurance it's been a solid saving month of May.

  • SF - sorry to hear about your scare - hope you can take it easy.

I am declaring £750 for May - I have updated my sig.
  • declaring 1698 for may. it was not a great month and i anticipate june will be a worse month. bills expected and unforseen have made this month rather expensive. next month will be worse.
  • Hi Lovelies!!

Many apologies for the lack of action this year on the updatests , life has been somewhat hectic... Having read the last few pages of the thread over my cuppa this morning I've decided it's DEFINITELY time to re-focus and motivate myself from the money side of things!!

We had a spendy month in May, paying for our holiday to Morocco for next week and also blowing the budget at a pretty awesome festival, plus getting the deposit down for our wedding venue... Busy times!!
So, I'm declaring a slightly early £500 in May!

Hope everyone is well and echoing the sentiments re: taking it easy SF!!

    Happy Saving!
