Wooo, got my ISA interest - it's been fixed at 3.1% for two years! Now to find a new home for my ISA savings - interest rates are pathetic at the moment...
Wow 3.1 % for an ISA. :jThose were the days.
I have a small 3 year bond coming out soon that I am getting 3.85% for. I so wish that I had put more money into it.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Only saving £500 this month. This is quite an expensive month. Have just renewed car tax. Tomorrow I have got to pay for the remainder of the new bed (being delivered tomorrow)will pay for it on my credit card and then pay for it as soon as the bill comes in (from next months salary- I want to collect my points). Will be paying 1/2 towards the decorating/plumbing/home improvement bill which is around £3,000 (£1500 for my share) from this months money and other money I have saved.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Hello SlowlyFading and super savers,
Going on the adage it's never too late, please may I join in?!
I've been saving since the start of the year, £3,600 so far, and will be continuing at £650 per month. So I hope to add another £5,200 to make a total by New Year of £8,800.
Many thanks, and I'm looking forward to reading how everyone has been getting on.0 -
Sorry I haven't updated my savings yet.
I have £1,000 saved so far which I'm hoping to increase within the next few months.Save £5000.00 in 2015! - no.79 (0/5000)0 -
hmmm
3 months on the sick has left me running behind with my savings target. Am on 28% of target. However, I have a plan.
June 2015 I receive an endowment maturity, the funds of which are earmarked for a farming job. However this leaves 96 free to be saved. Plan is to put this towards a family members pension. I am including all the savings I make to all my family members as I feel my pension fund has enough in it to meet the costs of the rest of my life. I will still put in some, but am keen to get some into a pension and savings for younger members.
Anyway, onwards and upwards. This thread is really inspiring and keeps me focused.
Have just bought lots of 2nd hand furniture for our new empty house, around £300, LAshley equivalent £7000. Why would anyone buy new?
Have fun all.
