May has been a tough month but we've moved house and spent quite a bit on new things which is good as it sets us up going forward. I'll be very happy if I've saved anything this month and hence may need to re-evaluate my target!

    Number 42 here!

I'm about three months late with my current savings update but those three months have been a house purchase with a weeks holiday in Rome thrown in!

I'm not sure on the exact totals as there are still things to buy for our new home but I've ringfenced £1000 as actual savings! That's accumulated from my original amount- I'm not sure how much has been saved each month as the total has fluctuated massively over the past few months!

I will aim to be a regular from now on as I have a very frugal life ahead of me now I am hundreds of thousands of pounds in mortgage debt! Need to somehow save another £4000 to cover my expenses for a wedding hopefully next July, so it's full steam ahead!

I got an unexpected bonus this month, so £4,500 put into savings. I think this is the most I have ever saved on a month. I guess that can be my birthday present to myself! Again, so inspiring to read about how everyone is doing. Keep up the good work!
I'm trying to remember to pay my future self first!

Amazing savings going on ! Well done everyone.:T

Another £125 into savings account on Monday.

Had a few expenses recently, car service, repair and MOT, trip to Isle of Wight to meet up with family, anniversary presents etc. But.. I re-negotiated broadband and telephone service and managed to get special discount of £10 a month off my bill, no reduction in services and broadbrand increased to 40GB :j

The next hurdle is car insurance in July so will go on compare sites to see if there are any savings to be had and try the cash back sites. Any advice about this would be appreciated.

I am keeping a spreadsheet of my spending which I update daily. Helps me keep track of my outgoings and to see where the money is going and where cutbacks should be made. I do enjoy the challenge.. how sad am I ? I may need to get a life :)
