can you give me specific savings amounts for each month so far so I can update the spreadsheet? Thanks
I've just split it up into 4 months so £370.27 per month if that makes sense I've split my amount by 9 months and this is the figure per month so so far this year I've saved £1481.11 and I'll keep my target of £5000 for the end of the year xxNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050 -
As a collective group of people, so far, we have managed to save over £555,000 :j :j :j
How awesome is that?!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Sorry haven't updated! Current savings are £5500, bit ahead of schedule! Well done everyone, what a great bunch of savers on this thread! Wish I'd started saving like this years ago!0

Declared £1,650 for April (sorry for the late update!). I have no idea how I managed to save so much last month, it came as a nice surprise when i added it all up
Target increased by £5,000 as I've hit my first one. Decided to include wedding savings rather than separate them out, just means I'm likely to declare a negative figure in July when the last bits are paid for. Will be ambitious but hope to have £25k saved in total by the end of the year.0 -
Remember that you only live once... The young years are the best, you dont want to regret having been too frugal.
There isnt much you can do in retirement by having saved 65% that you cannot do if you have saved "only" 50% and enjoyed the ride along the way...
Agreed, but my lifestyle will have to compromise soon as I'm getting married lol
I do enjoy the ride mate but stuff just doesn't mean much to me at the momentMy Goal: From 1st of Jan 2015 to 31st of December 2015 is to save 30000.
48.78% towards 2015 target.
105.3% towards 2014 target. :j0 -
Eveing! Just popping in to declare £840 for April- I'm really chuffed with this as I've even had a short holiday to Devon with new clothes too!! Next few months will probably be quite tight but for now I'm pleased.
Hope everyone is where they want to be savings.Mortgage free wannabe #580 -

Birthdays, weddings, anniversaries. May is proving to be as bad for saving as I expected so far.
But the work is rolling in, so my end of year lump should be good. Just not so great for the month-to-month this month.
OH wants me to ease up on myself and have fun. I already am! :undecided
Love is grand, but it's hard on the wallet, hard on the diet. :heartsmil:bdaycake:Keep reading books!
