Hi, hope everyone is well. I am declaring £850 for April #33, I have updated my sig. See you in May everyone.0

I am declaring a massive 3965.56 this month. A little late purely because life has been so hectic of late and I am trying to slow down.
Yes the figure looks unbelievably high and in some ways it is, I don’t know what my credit card bill is this month so that will start having a lagging effect on my figures so I suspect next month could be zero or a negative number – purely because I am paying for those rings.
Still happy with how this year is going, as I am getting married my plan for the remainder of the year is to get rid of this loan I have from Sainsbury’s (3.7%) by overpaying 1k-1.5k a month... keep my cash levels that I have somehow (8 months net salary).
I am really curious how I will perform by the end of the year!
Good luck all and I’ll catch up with everyone else soon.
8 months net salary with easy access is good going, can i ask how long it took you to get there? I currently have one month, not near enough.:eek:Living frugally at 24

£1275 for me this month - incl. interest from a regular saver which matured. Next month I'll have a bit less - then I'll have paid for my annual season ticket - yay (have put it on an interest free credit card so paying it off each month)0

Hi All,
Number 226 here.
Declaring £600.00 this month. Bit lower than previous months i'm afraid, had a few things come up and also put a deposit on a holiday.
I've submitted the google form.
Hopefully improve next month!
Just wanted to add, the way i'm looking at this challenge is starting from nothing i.e opening a new account with 0.00 and then working towards saving for my target which means excluding any interest made on money outside of this, if that makes sense? otherwise I would feel as if i'm kinda distoring the figures, hope that makes sense.

Hi everyone
Finally able to report a figure this month, after plugging the hole in our finances from swapping the car a couple of months back. In April we've been pretty frugal overall, a couple of leaving do's at work to cover, plus no.2 son had some travel costs. In the end, declaring £1110.77. Hoping to push on over the next few months and keep the saving going, thanks to all the motivation from everyone here!Save 12k in 2013-2014-2015-2016-2017-2018-2019-2020-2021-2022 - then early-retired.0 -

I have been saving 65% of my net salary for the last 6 years - that's how I have build up a cash pile + 2 btl flats.
I am not saying it has been easy, and I have been sacrificing by doing things others wouldn't be willing to do like living with parents, not going on that many holidays and pretty much living like a student but on a qualified jobs wage.My Goal: From 1st of Jan 2015 to 31st of December 2015 is to save 30000.
48.78% towards 2015 target.
105.3% towards 2014 target. :j0 -
Declaring £422.19 for April. Should've been more really but went on holiday to Hong Kong and bought myself a few too many clothes before I went!
I had my payrise from my new job in April and some bumper mileage expenses so put a bit of money into my non savings target savings and bought Madonna tickets for later this yearSo overall, happy with my April amount.
Overall I'm behind yearly target though so need to be a bit more frugal over the next few months to catch up[STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -
Kev I would say it doesn't matter how you choose to count so long as you are consistent month in, month out. I use a very basic spreadsheet as money moves quite a lot each month and I simply subtract last month's total from this moth's to see what I've gained.
If you find filling an account the best way go for it but I feel that interest counts as an income and so I include it. It has made a difference to the figures and makes everything easier to work out12K in 2017 No.029: £7154.37/ 18,000 (40%)
