I'm declaring a little earlier so fingers crossed I have two NSDs ahead of me!
I'm at £634 for the month, slightly higher than expected. Two larger expected expenses were countered by a handful of savings - all the result of applying for refunds or deductions, so my organisation paid off.
May could be tough, as I'm away most weekends...cannot give in to temptation!0 -
No more spends today and tomorrow, so I can declare.
Unfortunately, I have not saved much at all. I had friends come and help me with something on Monday and we were in a cafe so I bought a round of drinks for us. That was £11! Blinkin' London prices...
Towards debt: £354.57
Plus remaining from salary: £10.34 = £364.91
Better than a poke in the eye.Keep reading books!
August grocery challenge Budget £150. Spent so far: £109.32. Remaining: £40.680 -
quidco has finally paid into my account and, looks like I have £80 pending in topcashback but that won't get paid before end of month as I had to sent them the bank details and now payment is on hold for 72 hours!!!
so think ill post for April as there is only two days left and if I do have anything to pot then ill wait till may...
so Im declaring £1125.00 for April - (quite constant)
I'm now at 45% of target, lets see if I can make it to 50% next month, possible as I get April pay rise showing in May payslip so fingers are crossed, although I do have a BT maturing next month but not sure if Im going to pay it off with savings or transfer it again to 0%
ill decide when the situation happens...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. Well a bit of a downer as this is going to have to be a £0 saved in April. I had an MOT and some of a credit card balance to clear now the 0% deal expired, next month though looking at my budget i should be back on track. Well done to everyone else on their savings.£10 a day 2015 Oct £131.38/£310
Challenge - Save £6,000 in 2015 - £4034.44/£6000

Hi Everyone
My first post since joining the challenge, sorry its taken me so long!
I have the amounts that I've saved since starting saving in February:
February £1,050
March £1,378
April £1,125
The figure for May might be a bit disappointing, my son will be having his 1st birthday, so a gift plus taking him out for the day is an expense we don't normally have :rotfl:
Also my car is in for repair next weekthe parts have cost £85 plus they'll be the labour on top.
Does someone update the spread sheet with my figures or do I do it?0 -
Chelseablue, on the first post on the first page there is a link that leads you to a update form, fill this out three times with the amounts posted above with the different months then they will be added to the spreadsheet by slowly fading who is boss lol...
Then if you want you can click on the spreadsheet link to see how others are doing and see your balance increasing...
Well done amazing savings especially as you have a young child too, impressive...

I have just submitted my update form for April as it turns out that Funds Network will not take my first monthly payment until 20th May rather than 20th April as I'd thought when I opened my 2015/2016 stocks and shares isa on 7 April. So I opened my new ISA with £1500 meaning I now have a total of £4k thereabouts invested in Vanguard Lifestrategy 60 fund since the beginning of the year.
I have also just filled out a cash isa transfer to transfer my fixed rate Santander 2 year isa into the Vanguard LS 60 as well from previous tax years.
Hope everyone else is still managing to save. This month has been expensive for us as we have gifted some money to our two daughters for home improvements and next month we have a holiday to pay for! Thanks SF for doing the sheets and hope you are well as I know you are expecting in August. My younger daughter and her husband are also expecting their first baby in October so I daresay we will find lots of money disappearing then as well:)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
