Not quite ready to declare just yet. Having blown my grocery budget for this month, I have £8 left in my purse and I'm going to try to manage with that, which will mean saving £21. It would have been a minus but my contribution to our household bills was adjusted this month.
I'm trying to be healthy as well as spend wisely and be kind to myself as well: tall order.
But if I'm going to hit goal, I need to do better.
Next month, my dad gets married, it's our anniversary and OH's birthday. Some things just can't be skimped on, but I have a super plan for our anniversary. I've told him it's Pizza Express... and I'll have vouchers for most of the food, and cashback on the rest of the spend so we can really treat ourselves.
It's a cash only bar at the wedding, so we will have be able to budget ourselves quite well (and we will take a bottle for the room too)
OH's birthday present will be ordered on payday. I will make him a cake and let him decide between a night out with friends or a dinner.
Rental income is flowing back in now, and I'm about to receive payment for some lecturing and should be able to send another freelancing invoice out this week. Apart from freelancing-related expenses, I keep those earnings on ice until the taxman has taken his cut, so not counting those. One day, this will be how I live. One day....Keep reading books!

If it's possible to move number, slowlyfading, could I be terribly cheeky and ask to be 22 please? In my defence, I look at the spreadsheet a lot and it's not so far to scroll down!! Also, it looks nice if all the spaces are filled in (I think). I'm the second person to ask so it is perfectly okay if the answer is no.Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Slowly Fading
Can I also be moved number wise? any number above 35? so I dont have to scroll all the way to the bottom! there are a few posters who haven't posted since January so could I be swopped with them?Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Actually, I feel bad about asking about the numbers, slowlyfading, and I may just have created confusion, because while there was a big gap at number 22 on the "total amounts so far" form (which is why I asked about it), there isn't the same gap in the post listing the numbers on page one of this thread - there's a "Mr Crime Fiction" listed at number 22 there. So you have very kindly swapped the number for me on the spreadsheet - and I feel I owe you a beer - thank you, because you didn't have to and it's kind - but my request may not work unless Mr Crime Fiction has definitely said he is not returning? ... I'm so sorry
You work hard on this thread as it is.
