It's amazing all the things I've picked up up from the MSE website over the years.
Glad to hear I've helped with the idea, yes there are a lot of helpful and inventive people on the forum's.
And please, just call me boult.£71.93/ £180.000 -
How about trying some YouTube exercise videos during the dark evenings to generate a little more energy. There are some good ten minute Walk at Home" ones by Lesley Sanson whixh will stop those eyelids closing down.
Have to confess though that ai often creep upstairs much earlier with a book in dar nights and become a duvet hugger. Am not a great tv fan these days and I hate the fact that so many programmes now have intrusive background music which is totally unnecessary which I find very distracting.
In a busy noisy world I find the peace and darkness of a bedroom restful and soothing. Many of us have too little time for quiet reflection.0 -
Ahh windydoctor you are really a dormouse in disguise
I am with all those with nice peaceful bedrooms, its a rather nice refuge in the dark months. So today passed better, I solved a problem, had a good chat with my two neighbours and we all said how lucky we are to live by each other and to get on so well. They are both male and my age is in the middle. Yes very lucky indeed and I count my blessings. Then I did some crafting in my garage and prepared for my crafting day tomorrow. I ate well all day, had a walk to the shops, bought locally home made sausages and tbh I feel thoroughly happy and uplifted. Best of all I managed to be busy all afternoon and avoided that afternoon slump
I am going upstairs earlier tonight, taking a book with me. Then will fall asleep listening to zen, japanese garden. Bliss0 -
I sit in my nice warm livingroom by the fire and make the husband wear headphones to listen to his noisy tv stuff. Got sick of John Wayne and the eighth cavalry riding through or Bruce Willis blowing things up0

The rain stopped for a bit earlier and I went outside and put my washing line down as I probably won't be using it that much and it takes up space in my little covered patio. I took down the sails that are for shade in the summer months and put them away.
I moved a chair and a little table into the patio so I can sit out there when it's not raining and get some daylight. I will start having my herbal tea out there in the morning when it's dry weather.:A
I want to get my husband a warm scarf next week as he needs one as he goes out in all weathers for his job.How about trying some YouTube exercise videos during the dark evenings to generate a little more energy. Oh, how funny, I did a Lesley Sansone video at home today for the first time in ages as it was pouring outside.:)
I also managed to do 50 jumping jacks afterwards to get my heart rate up even more.:D0 -
Building work on our house now all completed, though there is is a small leak in the extension roof which they're going to be coming back to fix next week.
Re-render inclding insulation was part of the work, along with new boiler, re-wiring and underfloor heating in the extesion rather than fitting a new radiaitor as with sky lights and a bi-fold door across the back, all south facing, it gets warm as soon as there's any sun etc.
best part is, new combi boiler is down in the extension. The old one was up in our bedroom along with the hot water tank. Our room used to be boiling all night with residual heat, which later evaporated back out of the walls, no retention.
Much better now, especially when one or either of the kids, and our new pair of kittens are in/on the bed with us especially in first thing in the morning!
must sort out some car bits for DH. DS new wellies obtained, coats, multiple gloves for both toddlers (now 3yrs and 18mthns repectively) and new boots for me (don't drive, walk up 25km a week with the buggy according to my tracker lol) and all three buggies we alternately use have full raincovers - this is important lol.Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

We've got a wee snowflake on our weather forecast for Saturday so IT BEGINS
:T:j:T;)

I never get excited for one snowflake as it always turns to a snow flake with a drip and very disappointing. I'm holding out for your snowflake Mar. We've definately got ever decreasing numbers in terms of temperatures this week.
Lidl and Aldi have the logs and kindling in now and although it's not such a cost effective way of doing it, then I will be adding to the kindling stores.0 -

It IS going to get colder Fuddle ... a lovely rest for the Earth though. Soon be Solstice and the days will get longer.Everything will be alright in the end - and if it's not alright, it's not the end ........0
