Me too SS, if I vanish tomorrow you'll know the elect went off, I'm expecting it to. My weak spot is the freezer, its an American style f/f and useless in power cuts, wish I had got a chest one instead.0

Aye Mardatha, I'm not looking forward to this one, the sustained wind speeds alone are pretty brutal but the 90+ mph gusts are just adding insult to injury!!:(

I don't know if you know but the Met Office have now put out a yellow warning for snow and ice from early Sat morning through till lunchtime Sun, that's as well as the wind warnings:eek:
ps. Snow warnings appear to be out for much of the North of England too now as well.

On the shipping radar there's a couple of west coast trawlers heading right out into it now, west of Fair Isle!0

Hi Desperately need to know whether the worst has hit the isle of Lewis as mum needs to know whether to make a run from her house as her windows have blown out n the roof may go as well?
Then:
Mum has been forced to make a run for it as the roof is gonna go with 3 of them stuck in the house she's calling 999 to help as she also has 2 dogs there.
Edited: she's been told to stay put by the police don't think even they can risk it either0
