A friend of mine buys value bottled water all the time.....for her CAT:eek:
Pertsonally I really don't care if packaging is ugly, if the veg or fruit are an ugly shape or in fact if the shop is ugly. As long as I am getting good food at a good price then I am a happy mudgekin
I used to give my cat mineral water:o
Until we got the US style fridge/freezer with the chilled filtered water.
Then I downgraded him to that:rotfl: with us:D0 -
Have no problem with buying the value items in mr t's mr S etc or going to liddle an aldi, my mil says we shouldnt as its not fair to the kids, hubbys reply was why they eat more healthy than we meaniing him and bro n sis did and are not always hungry as he was
my bil is the same as his mum wont buy the cheaper things him an his wife even went to wait for it HARRODS to buy washing up liquid to have out on show they wont ever us it as have dishwasher and said its so people can see it,fools. Our kids eat really healthy,i cant see the point in buying something just for the name or the packaging,do think the idea of putting bubble bath n shampoo into a pump dispenser excelent idea will do that from now as youngest son uses loads we have bubbles everywhere when he has a bath prob more bubles than water lol thanksfor that advice
take care all
I'm amazed Harrords even make washing up liquid.0 -
Oh, you have made me laugh. I thought I was the only one who filled up their ethical fair trade coffee jar, which I have drunk for years for all the right reasons ( but because I have been very very poor) with Aldi coffee so as not to put my friends off having a cup. Funny thing is they all drink the posh at home but no one has noticed or mentioned the difference!
My kids love value brands (wierd, I know) and always ask for cereal in a bag. Solution! I bought plastic cereal dispensers! Posh and cheap!0 -

I love value items...my 4 kids call me the value queen..and with this week being half term had to take them shopping with me, people in tescos must think im mad when i go shopping with the kids as i walk around the shop in fits of laughter as my older 3 kids 11,12 & 13 all shout `value` everytime i put something in the trolley..then when people start looking they say ` Cant wait to go to Florida again mum with all the mum the value queen has saved!!!! We get some funny looks and people eyeing up my trolley which is all blus and white!!!
My kids take the mick but they all love value goods as i firmly belive its not what it costs its what you do with it..i cook from scratch and cant tell the difference in any value items..and i hope my kids will grow up to be little money saving value buyers too!Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -

He liked it & I liked treating him.
Many cat owners use cooled boiled water from the kettle for their cats as cats can be fussy about the chemicals in tap water, hence why you often see them drinking fresh rain water from puddles.
From a "human" POV, London tap water was horrible & Surreys is not much better. If you live in Scotland or Wales or somewhere very rural the tap water is probably very nice.0 -
The oly thing I have to buy a brand of is tampons! I don't even know if Tesco or other supermarkets do a Value range but that would be one value thing too far!!!!
Sorry if too much info but I am not bidging on that! I have managed to even buy cheaper loo roll....went from Tesco own quilted stuff to their discount brand and even that pushed me over the edge...poor bum!0 -
They dont do value but they do a cheaper version!! lolProud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0

even my mum - total brand snob - has started to buy value biscuits, and was impressed!! i dont think i will ever get her onto value loo roll though - i have to keep a decent roll in hiding for when she visits!!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0
