No, don't have a problem at all - if I do 'decant', it is things like shampoo and bubble bath into hand pumps - means that the kids arn't using one bottle at a time lol!0

We buy the value/smart price products and have saved loads on our shopping, MIL shops at lidl and i don't find anything wrong with their stuff and love their fresh orange juice and lemon cake
We have converted BIL & SIL to tesco's nappies as they are a fraction of the cost of branded ones and do just as good a job.
We save even more and shop for fresh fruit and veg on the local market. If everyone cared and nobody cried, if everyone loved and nobody lied, if everyone shared and swallowed their pride then we'd see the day when nobody died.
ROCK IT DON'T STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BE GOOD OR BE GOOD AT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I buy quite a lot of value/smartprice stuff. Some weeks when Moneys short, we do a "smartprice/value week" where we buy as much value/smartprice stuff as we can from our regular shopping list to make ends meet. I personally ain't bothered really what other people think, like others I just look at my nice full cupboards and think about how little it all cost : ).EmMarriages are made in heaven, but then again so is thunder and lightning!!!.....getting divorced lol :j

Trying to "up" my income and rookie oldstyler0 -
I buy some of the value stuff - the basic things like oats and dishwasher tablets and frozen peas. I don't buy things like biscuits though - I make my own. I like everything to be both beautiful and delicious if at all possible. I don't think this makes me a label snob. Perhaps I'm the only person to wander round Crabtree and Evelyn to simply admire the beautiful packaging as though it was a beautifully scented art gallery. And that the sight and smell of Earl grey tea lifts my heart, as does wearing my cashmere charity shop jumper. But it makes me happy.0

i usually shop at netto, home bargains (cos its next door and the prices it sells some stuff for is unbelievable) and sainsburies for reduced things - my kids know we have very little money and are happy with what i buy - however i would never send my kids to school with a netto carrier bag as it's a licence for them to be picked on.'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0

I'm on a very tight budget and would find myself really struggling if it wasnt for value brands or lidl and aldi i pay 17p for a can of beans my daughter pays 41p and then moans about how much her shopping costs i cant shop with her as she and her boyfriend only buy branded and what she pays for things would give me a heart attack. I always put my cereals into containers but thats to make it easier for the kids to get at them.and my value flour gets put into containers thats also to make it easier for me .0

Of course no one knew and there were all sorts of great comments on the food.
A few months later, when discussing supermarkets with friends and OH's family, I got "Oh, I wouldn't buy anything from Lidl - poor quality...."
So, did I keep it to myself, did I heck! I relished dropping the bombshell!:D
Excellent, :T :T :T I'd have done the same.0 -
on the same sort of tack, people in the area where i work didn't like the tesco's shop till you drop van and told them so, so they now deliver to certain post codes in range rovers
:rotfl:

Slightly off topic, but, I just don't shop at Tesco because they are the most expensive supermarketHate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0 -
Does it really matter whether it is an expensive brand or the shops own brand? If it does what it says in the box and does a good job all well and good. and if someone don't like it they don't have to use it.Please do not feed the Trolls!0
