Tesco Value snobbery??

Just been into a Tesco store, found some, and bought up their entire stock. 48 cartons. Whey hey:beer:0
-
Farm foods are selling tomato, sweet pepper and carrot juice for 39p, it's delicious!0
-
erm, drink them! I only bought so many because someone in another Tesco store told me they are being discontinued. And I must have my tomato juice to keep me looking youthful:rolleyes:0

You might well find a number of value items are discontinued as part of the future launch of a new Aldi Style Range which will be replacing and/or complementing both the standard range and the value range. Bit like when light choices launched, a lot of Healthy Living lines changed over to the Light Choices range0

I have 2 value things i will always buy over the brand names simply because they are identical and that is
Tesco value tortilla chips 18p large bag-great for bbqs, party or just for yourself-they are 100% the same (but smaller) than lightly salted doritos...and Sainsburys basics chocolate digestives (about 27p and exactly the same as McVities homewheat but smaller)
I am proud i buy these as i see other people buying the dearer stuff and feel like i have a bargain-i tell all my friends and they all buy these too now!
(Sorry if there is a thread for good basics,i can't find it)
Do you have a Semi-Chem near you? They stopped selling the Value dishwasher tablets in my local Tesco too then I saw 25 dishwasher tablets in Semi-Chem for 99p, I half them so get 50 loads out of a box.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0 -

I thought Asda also delivered? But maybe not in your area I guessEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

I am ashamed of how much in debt I am, and decant everything humanly possible into brand containers. The nice little comments on the Sainsburys Basics make me feel a little better about being broke (eg value pineapple says "all shapes and sizes"). When I get home from shopping, I put away all the Basics things first, in case I have a visitor.
This sounds like snobbery I know, but really it is just that I am so ashamed at what a fool I have been in the past.
I'd say you can stop feeling ashamed and be proud that you are making changes so you can get back in control of things.
Any visitor who thinks less of you because you don't have the fancy brands is not a visitor worth having!
I love hearing how people amaze their friends with yummy food, then point out that it was value stuff that went into it!
