What do you mean? I had a Tesco delivery last night and I ordered a load of value stuff which all came.0 -

yes same here....i always have value stuff in my deliveries.
and indeed used to work for tesco (admittedly 6 years ago now-but had worked there for 8 years) and have never, ever heard of that!0 -
Yes, us OSers will order value; but I don't suppose everyone will.
My ex's SIL was constantly bad mouthing people who buy 'cheap rubbish' and is a complete and utter snob. More fool her if she wants to spend her hard earned cash on pretty packaging that, let's face it, just gets thrown away. I can't see the logic myselfI couldn't really care less what anyone thinks.
I buy mostly the value products. To me, you can't tell a difference in taste - and no one's ever complained about a meal that I've cooked! There are many benefits for me - it's (mostly) cheaper for a start! and my cupboards matchThere are only a few things that I wouldn't buy from the value range - one of them being toilet roll :undecided

do you mean that you are not allowed to substitute value goods if they have ordered a more expensive item?
I've just done online shop and ordered loads of value stuff as it comes from a bigger store that has a much more extended range of value products than my local Tesco, so I'm taking the opportunity to try some things out.weaving through the chaos...0 -
I've never had any trouble ordering value products online either. I can understand that they may not be regarded as a good substitution for many customers who might not have had them before though....bit of a culture shock I would imagine.Katie.0

Life is too short to worry, it's my money, my house and if people don't like what they see or I offer them when they come to visit then it's tough. Money is tight BUT we don't have an overdraft and live within our means which as far as I am concerned is a lot more important.0

At a recent departmental meal, people were moaning about the price of food. I mentioned that I'd cut over £100 a month off my food bill, (thanks to the grocery challenge). One very snobby person said "I suppose you only buy value products" turns out he was the only one there who didn't buy value.
Suppose that explains why he's always complaining about a lack of funds:rotfl: .Thanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j0 -

very true, friends who get picky because you've served Value chocolate digestives with their coffee aren't friends at all! (sorry had an experience with this one!)CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0 -
I got some smart price stuff from Mr.S and it was good. My big shops I do Tesco on-line.
I like Lidl, never had the good fortune to go to Netto or Aldi, but I do not like my local Asda. Been to other Asda's and they are okay - it's just my local.0
