Don't get me started on daft names, I work in a school & sometimes I'm not sure if the parents think they are being clever or if the really don't know how to spell, we have a Jayde & Jayke oh & Cognac is to be spelt Conyak!!

That was my ex's excuse for getting rid of me, I was old worn out & fat, but he was also fat & the reason I looked old was there was never any money to spend on my for clothes or hairdresses etc & as for worn out, yep, it was probably something to do with running a business looking after him the house & 4 kids, while sat at the pc all day!

taplady, your gorgeous boy is still there, just trying to stay well-hidden:D ;)

Been there, got the t-shirt, with DS3. Bit older than your lad, didn't have ear pierced, oh no no no, got eyebrow and nipple done:eek:  :rotfl: Fast forward a few years, both now gone and him a well-respected policeman:D

They need to *push* the boundaries, feel they're a different species to mum and dad. Just be glad he's using daft outward symbols, there's a lot worse he could be doing!!! I found that the less shocked I was, the quicker the novelty wore off. But it did involve a lot of tongue biting and acting:cool:

    Take care, CMxx

Thankc CM:T we've talked him into putting off the hairdying for a couple of days till we're over the shock!:D we're finding it quite amusing now the shock's worn off:D we've always been a bit over protective of him as he has an autisitc spectrum disorder(mild though) and went to special schools for years but is now doing really well so it is nice that he's got a group of mates and is fitting in:j

Oh Taplady - the things I have to look forward to! Congrats on the weight btw. I'm a little envious - about 1 st envious in fact!:j

    HI guys

Need to get back into OS ways. Not fallen too badly but really having a case of the "can't be bothereds" at the moment. The ironing is lying downstairs and I'm lurking upstairs where it can't see me.

Day off work tomorrow - so hopefully I'll get it all done then. And make some bread, do some shopping, finish painting my little cabinet thingy, and give teh kitchen a damn good clean (hopefully there will be nothing good on TCM early in the morning - must not look, must not look):o

Jackie - hope things are fine

Julia Penguin - hi. Well done - they really are friendly here. They put up with my random mutterings and self indulgent rants and don't complain.:T

    AnnieStar - go girl!:T

;2nd attempt to post this!!! Well as i said I have decided to get back my mojo(whatever that is:rotfl: ) I need to start putting some value on me I lost a lot of weight(over8 stone)but have put it all back on:o :o . I used to have my own home; various demanding things(job; being the youngest chair of a major political party in the country-honest; playing various clubs ; all kinds of stuff)have been intervieved once on Newsnight. NOW.....find it difficult to go anywhere...I chickened out of the M/C meet despite a lovely kind and encouraging series of PM's from the lovely Nelski. This is ME.....NOT DH.I have become a doormat(honestly VERY little I think to do with DH) So I am writing EVERYTHING down in a large notebook.I turn 44:eek:     next week so it is a good time to start my new attitude to life. I am NOT going to bore you all with the ins and outs of everything but will gladly share with anyone that does want to know anything. It will be a long difficult journey I have to change the way I have learnt to think and the way I have let myself be treated. But I will do it. Many thanks for all your kindness and suport. You are wonderful. Ann XXXX

Anniestar... come over to the Arms and have a look towards the end of the thread called "Waxing" (don't worry, it's not just about waxing!) I've just declared that I am going to be more high-maintenance from now on, to look better and feel better about myself ;) I know it's supposedly just superficial, but you sound like you could do with a boost what with all you're going through. ((hugs))

Well it gave me a laugh, if some points are right, about forgetting about yourself. I have all the necessary equipment to give myself a manicure and pedicure, I usually only go for eyebrows and keep forgetting to book that!   - I'll have to put my lenses in so I can see to pluck them! And I must get back on the diet, but how do you diet on holiday?:confused:

Welcome juliapenguine you'll find us sociable, slighty insane but nice!

Just a quick post to welcome juliapenguin:D :D You'll like it here. Everyone is really nice, and will give you loads of help and encouragement. Just remember to take things at your pace, not everything suits everyone equally.

Look forward to meeting you in the playground;)

edited to add has anyone seen kyle around? I don't remember seeing her for quite a few days. Nor twink for a day or two:confused: If you're reading kyle, hope everything is OK:D

HI all! I'm back from the wilds of London - and i can't wait until I can walk again! I spent a fortune on taxis. My foot is killing me; DH is off to the local store to see if they have large freezer bags so I can ice my foot.
Finally got the boxes picked up from when we moved; and the leylandii are being cut down next friday.

Hope everyone had a good day, and annie, go for it!
