Thanks CBC and Lou :A - I hope you're both having a great day
Back from my sister's now. I'm staying at my mum's overnight and then going home tomorrow night seeing as I've got to be at work at 9am on Saturday. OH (or should that be my fiance?) is coming back on Sunday (he's at his parents).
I got some lovely presents, including a Kindle (with a case, which has saved me buying one), a dressing gown, necklace, PJs, smellies and some other bits and pieces.
Better get on with my nebuliser etc. Unfortunately CF doesn't give me a day off for Christmas.

INOD - I hope you've only got the one turkey this year!! :rotfl:
Work was tiring yesterday, but I made it through. Glad to have a couple of days off. Got to work the weekend, but then have got 4 days off in a row :j
So, I came home yesterday to a Christmas card from my OH, and it was 'To my fiancee'. He had written inside, 'Will you marry me?'. I said yes, so it looks like I'm an engaged woman :grinheart. No ring yet - OH wanted me to pick one out as he hasn't got a great track record of getting stuff like that right. We'll get one at some point in the new year.
Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Hello
Sorry I haven't posted for a few days. I always find the period between Christmas and new year strange - I think we're all just waiting for next year as soon as Boxing Day is over.
Anyway, the money I had earmarked to pay off the debt has been used elsewhere (bills mainly). I'm so sick of having no money, and then when I get some extra, that has to be used for other things. Something always seems to crop up.
I vow to be more organised next year. My OH is actually on board with the money saving this time and he is the biggest money waster going. We're going to cook at home more, cut back and generally try to save where we can.
I've singled out 12 sites that I'm going to be doing surveys and other stuff on to make extra money, and I'm going to keep track of how much I make on them over the course of 2015.
On top of that, I'm also going to attempt competitions again and keep track of how much I win during the year. I'm hoping for a nice holiday or some stuff for the house mainly. Of course, £10k cash wouldn't go amiss either.
I've picked up some overtime for Friday. I was supposed to be doing 11-2, but I'm now doing 11-6.
I'm spending tonight with my mum as usual. OH and I have been invited to a party, but I wouldn't have a good time knowing my mum was alone, so he's going on his own (they are his friends anyway).
Happy New Year everyone and I hope you have a good evening.

Lovely to hear from you again, Emz. I was hoping to see you before the New Year begins.
I agree with you on the surveys except I'm going to cut mine down to about 6. I think I've wasted a lot of time on surveys this year for very little reward and instead of an earlier plan of mine to stop them altogether as soon as the next payout arrives I'm going to monitor them very carefully indeed for cost-effectiveness. I've had big payouts from a couple this year (that took about a year or more to reach and involved zillions of screen-outs along the way:mad:). Have already ditched them. Life's too short and all that, I can use my time to better effect when trying to make money than that. You always seem to get your rewards a lot quicker than I do, and a lot more regularly, and I expect I'm not in a very desirable demographic (seldom spending money to buy anything or go anywhere:o).
I hope you enjoy your evening with your Mum and that you, OH and your family have a brilliant 2015._party__party__party_0 -
