Here for the long-haul then, like me:(

My debts were mind-blowing:o (still are but have gone down a lot). I'm managing to pay mine off at the rate of £8784 a year (@£732 a month) on a DMP. It is very tough but it can be done, even on my restricted income. Your target isn't all that much more (now I've read the details more carefully) and with your PT job (with scope for overtime) and all the online and other ventures you undertake it wouldn't surprise me if you managed it:beer:

    Thanks CBC :A

I've got a horrible dry, tickly cough at the moment. Several customers last night told me I shouldn't be there. Just hoping it's not too bad tomorrow.

I've got Sunday off, but have to work Monday instead as they are really short staffed, but haven't got any money left for overtime seeing as they spent it all on the Christmas temps. Having said that, I've got 14 hours overtime next week on Tuesday and Wednesday, but that was agreed ages ago.

I'm going to seriously have to get the money rolling in if I'm going to meet my target (health permitting obviously). I've got 5 MS jobs the week after Christmas, which will pay £50 in total. I've also got a £7 cheque to bank and am waiting for £10 to clear on Panelbase.

Sorry to hear about the cough,Emz. Those dry, tickly ones can be really annoying as, in my experience, they are the most sleep-disrupting kind.

Went to pick up OH's medication yesterday from the pharmacy inside our GP's practice. It's so busy there nowadays that they've instigated a queuing system at the pharmacy where people take a numbered ticket (like at our butcher's:rotfl:) and wait for their number to light up on the display. It's probably common practice in towns but ours is a rural GP and the longest you used to have to wait to collect repeat prescriptions was for a couple of people to be served before you.

I was in there waiting for 20 minutes (and that was just the queue for the pharmacy):( and the dispenser croaked at me that they were very short-staffed because of illness and she wasn't even well-enough to be there herself:eek:. The waiting-room was full of people waiting to see the Doctor, most of them coughing or sneezing so I fully expect I'll have developed something nasty just in time for Christmas.:(

I hope you'll feel better soon:)

Thanks INOD. I'm already looking forward to having Sunday off. Will be able to spend some time with my niece and nephew :D

I know the feeling of having to wait amongst a load of sick people all too well. At the hospital they have separate rooms for us CFers so that we don't have to mix with anyone else, but then they send me off to the pharmacy, blood test clinic, X-ray department etc etc, where there are loads of people sitting there waiting with God knows what!!

I hope you manage to avoid catching anything.

    Morning

Not sleeping well at all right now. Damn cough . I managed to get through my shift yesterday though. Was coughing quite a bit. Some of the customers said they hoped I'd get better soon, some said I shouldn't have been in work and some just looked at me like I had the Bubonic plague!!

I've just withdrawn £10.40 from Panelbase and am very close to getting £5 out of Swagbucks.

I'm practically done with Christmas presents now. I wrapped them all up last night after work. I've just got to get a couple of bits from M&S for my sister, so will do that tomorrow after my shift.

  • Try to get some nap time today. Glad to hear you've the shopping sorted. It'll take the pressure off a bit.

It was so nice not having to work yesterday. I'm definitely going to see if there's anyway I can get at least every other Sunday off in the new year. I don't mind swapping it for a day during the week.

Got about 5 hours sleep on and off last night. Damn cough is driving me potty. I feel absolutely fine apart from that.

Yesterday I won £10 from a free bingo site (had to deposit £20 to get it out) and this morning I have won £120 from some free cash I had in my JPJ account :j. So what with that £130, the £10 from Panelbase, £5 I'll soon be claiming from Swagbucks and my £7 cheque, I'll be able to get debt number 1 (my council tax arrears) below the £1k mark by the end of the year :T.

Right, 45 minutes until I have to leave for work, so better get ready. 11-5 today, so not too bad. Tomorrow (1-9) will be a killer!!

    Have a good day everyone

    Morning

Finally managed to sleep through the night. My cough wasn't as bad at work yesterday either.

I claimed £5 from Swagbucks yesterday and I got the last couple of Christmas bits from M&S, so I am officially finished with Christmas shopping :).

Working 1-9 today :(. It wasn't that hectic yesterday in terms of customers, but two people were off sick, so we were all fairly busy anyway.
