Work is busy. Short staffed because there's no overtime. 7 more hours to go before Christmas and then I've got 4 days off in a row :T

Haven't done much earnings wise due to working all weekend and today. I did however get an email about some free spins on a bingo site that were about to expire. So I spent last night playing through the bonus money they created - ended up withdrawing £110!! :j:j

With the £50 I won earlier, that £110, the £20 survey and £30 MS jobs, I'm only £62 away from December's payment, so it might as well go towards that and will save me dipping into the account too much.

I'm only doing 4-8 tomorrow, so will try and get some surveys and stuff done.

I hadn't imagined that bankruptcy figured in your plans either short or long-term, Emz. You always seem so determined to work your socks off to pay your debts.

A DMP would be a better proposition (in my humble opinion, and speaking as someone who is now on one and paying down my debts at a rate of knots:j). The advantage of a DMP over bankruptcy is that debts are paid back not written off. I don't think I could live with myself if debts that I'd incurred (without a gun to my head:o) were just wiped out.

Admittedly, with a DMP most creditors freeze interest. In case anyone thinks this is wriggling out of debt it isn't as it was the addition of ridiculously high rates of interest which massively pushed up the debts to unmanageable levels in the first place. That and the fact that when credit cards were maxed out the lenders kept offering increased and unasked for credit limits:eek:. Very tempting to accept when desperate:o.. The lenders are still getting far more back than was originally borrowed. I don't think anyone need feel sorry for them:rotfl:

The main downside of a DMP is that all lines of credit are cut off (no credit cards etc) and the credit history is trashed. But bankruptcy would trash it even more, even CCJs have a detrimental effect on it. Only relevant of course if you are planning to apply for major credit such as a mortgage in the future.

An awful lot to think about. Please don't do anything rash;).

It was lovely for Andy to be voted Sports personality of the Year wasn't it?:j

Thanks CBC. I have thought about a DMP and might look into setting one up eventually. I'll see how I do with clearing this CCJ for a bit first.

Yes it was good for Andy to win last night. It was nice that he was actually able to be there as he's not training in Miami during this off season. I was pleased for Team GB too. They deserved some recognition, especially Jamie and James Ward.
