Hi everyone
Sorry for the long time not posting. At the moment, OH and I should be in Austria on my prize win. However, we took the decision not to go. I haven't been feeling great for a while now (since we got back from Rome really) and my lungs have been feeling worse and worse. It has been a struggle to do even simple things - even bending down to pick something up has been putting pressure on my lungs and making me out of breath.
So I'm on some strong drugs at the moment, which I hope will sort me out. I've still been managing to work, but it has left me wiped out, so I've literally been working and then coming home to go to sleep. I've had the whole weekend off, and I'm feeling a bit more with it.
Unfortunately, OH's parents decided to descend on us this weekend. It's his dad's birthday today, so I think he wanted his present and free meal. On OH's 40th birthday, they took us to a carvery place and the whole meal cost them less than £30. Last night we went to TGI Fridays. Let's just say they went all out - steaks, desserts, coffees etc etc. The meal came to £79.20 and that's with OH and I having one of the cheapest main meals and just a drink, so pretty much £50 of that was OH's parents.
Needless to say, I'm going to escape to my mum's today. I'm not sure if they're staying over tonight or not. I think his dad wants to, probably so he can squeeze another free meal out of us.
I'll post more later. Need to get my meds done now which will take a while.

Aaaaww Emz, I'm so sad to read your latest news. I was wondering why we hadn't heard anything from you for a while and am so sorry that it was because you've been struggling with your health.
Not only that but the dreaded in-laws to boot. Did they realise that you are ill but press on with their selfish plans regardless?. What awful people they are:mad:. I'ts a miracle that their son is nothing like them. He sounds like a gem:j.
Now you're on the strong drugs you may see an improvement soon. I really hope so, it must be awful having to do all the things the rest of us take for granted when you're having to battle such awful symptoms. Sending you every positive vibe that I can muster, as well as lots of hugs:kisses3:.0 -

Well said, in need of direction:T
How they haven't got the message before beats me, they are obviously totally unfeeling, selfish and thick-skinned:mad:. They need to be put firmly in their place and the only one who can do that is your fiance.0 -
Totally agree with In need of direction and carbootcrazy Emz. Hope you feel better soon. Big hug xx0

Thanks everyone :A - I'm in the sanctuary of my mum's house at the moment!!
I know my OH is in a difficult position. I think he felt like he couldn't say no as it's his dad's birthday. I'm just sorry that I was coughing quite a bit during the night and they might have had a disturbed night's sleep

That's what I think, dawnybabes.
They wouldn't have been able to have a birthday celebration with you if you'd been away this weekend as planned. So why do they think it's in order to visit and have one now when you are only there because you are too ill to go on holiday?0
