Thanks very much for your kind wishes, beanielou and Emz:kisses3:. Everything went OK, nothing nasty discovered or they would have told him but he is fretting a bit because the interval between visits has been 12 months but the nurse said the doctor wants to see him in 6 months next time. When pressed she said it was just to be on the safe side (whatever that means). He's one of life's pessimists and will be thinking the worst for the next 6 months:(. He's not the biggest joy to live with.

Off to find your new diary now:T.

Not posted for a while, on this diary or my new one. Been feeling a bit down recently. Not really sure why. I've heard of a few CF people I follow on Twitter passing away recently (one was just 17 :() and a few are struggling and waiting for transplants too. It does scare me to think that is going to be me one day.

Having said that, I have been neglecting my health a bit, which just isn't on. My weight has dropped to nearly 7.5 stone so I need to address that pronto.

I've decided to stop the extra money making for now. I bring in around £1,000 a month now anyway (including DLA), sometimes more depending on how much overtime I've done (I've done around £150 worth this month). My spare time should be for me to get my health back on track and do stuff I enjoy - not doing surveys, mystery shopping, writing articles etc.

So I'm going to start comping again. I enjoy doing it and see it as more of a hobby - anything I win is a bonus. I actually got told I won this yesterday from a blog.

We also won 2 pairs of cinema tickets from the Burger King promotion too. I should be able to use them with my disabled card, so that means 4 free cinema trips for us.

We're going on the weekend I won in Austria at the beginning of October. Still don't have all the details yet, so need to chase them up. I've had to fit it in around my days off.

I've got Wednesday and Thursday at work this week, and then I'm off for 16 days in a row :). OH is taking me to Rome next week for a few days, so that will be something crossed off my bucket list at long last.

Anyway, I'll be posting on this diary again now, as I've got other things to concentrate on rather than paying off debts - health comes first.

It's so lovely to hear from you again, Emz, even though you've had some real setbacks since we heard from you last.

I totally agree, your health comes first:T. You know we're all rooting for you, don't you? Although we've never met you we feel as if you're a friend and I'm sure I speak for all your followers on here when I say that we so admire how you cope with everything that life throws at you. Make plenty of space and time in your life for YOU, your fiance(who sounds a real sweetie:)) and those lovely children of your sister's.

Your comping idea sounds great, I'm doubling my efforts in that area too. Congrats on the latest wins:T. I recently had an email to say I've won some cat shampoo! Don't recall entering that one:rotfl: and bet a pound to a penny my cat won't stand for shampooing:eek:. I think it's designed more for long haired pedigree cats to get them glammed up prior to a cat show! Might not even attempt it on my cat and will pass it on to the local animal rescue place that I volunteer at. I know they have to shampoo some of their rescue cats.

Rome, eh? Brilliant. Have a fabulous time, you both deserve it:beer:

Thanks CBC :A - well done on your competition win. I hope the karma you'll get from passing it onto the rescue place will get you a big win :)

I've heard about the Austria trip. We're staying in this hotel. Looks very nice. No idea which airport we're going from yet though.

My mum just got me a couple of selection boxes - yes I know it's August, but it's on the way :xmassmile

    Thanks Lou :A

Another torrential day weather-wise. I'm starting work at 12 and have to walk in. Joy. Doing 8 hours today (including 4 hours overtime), 3 hours tomorrow evening and then I'm free for 16 days :)

Already got around £87 worth of overtime booked in for when I return. I think there will be more around seeing as some of the younger girls are leaving to go to uni.

  • I know Christmas is a long way off but you mentioned it first with your talk of selection boxes the other day:rotfl:. But there'll be loads of work and overtime for you later in the year. You seemed mega-busy last Christmas. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing from your point of view.

Pelting down here too, what a dismal summer we've had. Apart from very early on when I recall moaning about how hot it was when I had that delivery work to do:o. I hope you manage to get into work without getting drenched:beer:
  • I have been reading your diary over the last couple of days Emz and I have finally got to page 22 tonight. I feel like I have had a FF of your progress and you have done so well over the time since this diary started. I was in need of inspiration and you have given it to me along with other amazing people on these diaries.

I will be following with interest and will chip in from time to time if you don't mind.
