What takes 2-3 days for most banks who use online application methods - seems to take 2-3 weeks for CB/YB?!
There are almost no banks that have you fully online within 2-3 days of applying online. I have online banking with literally all UK banks and can't recall that it took much less than 7-10 days to get online with any of them for the first time.
But leaving that aside. YB/CB pay £150, several times over if you are smart, whilst most banks actually pay nothing at all, or at most £125 once if you are lucky. If you had to make a choice for a bank based on signup offers, which one would you choose?0 -
Hope it helps...
I opened a bos account. Within a few days I had my card and pin. In about 7 days I was online. That day I applied for 2 more current accounts online...got accepted. So within a week 3 accounts set up...with little time and effort.
Wonder what I can do with these accounts? Any good switching offers about?! Lol0 -
Who has had their £150? My transfer completed on 29 December and I am wondering when I might get weighed in?0

What reasons have people used for opening multiple accounts? I've already opened up 2, one for "bills" and one for "spending". I've got 2 more donor accounts now, any creative people out there who can come up with reasons for more accounts? HahaCredit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -

I applied for an account with one of the major banks online at lunchtime on a Thursday - I was not an existing customer or theirs and never had been for anything. By Saturday morning I had received my debit card and online access details - the pin came on the Tuesday. So within less than 48 hours after applying online the account was up and running and usable.
Unusual perhaps - but certainly doable.0 -

You could also look at other banks' online application forms (seem to remember LBG offer a drop down list for purpose of account?) to get some ideas.0
