Yorkshire & Clydesdale Banks offering £150 for switching

You might think they have a system - paying out in a logical date order based on when you meet the criteria?
So this week all these people switched and have also paid in their £1k - so meet the criteria. So lets preset the payments of £150k to go into their account in say 3 weeks time? Why do some meeting the criteria get paid in 2 or 3 weeks while others are still waiting 5-6 weeks later?
Or am I asking too much?:D Because its possible if they aren't keeping proper records the £150 payments for some may not happen - unless you follow up.
However, we get this impatience on this board every time there's a decent switching incentive offer. People need to learn to sit back and do something else for 60 days...because whinging about it and trying to work out their methodology for payment doesn't help.If people are like this with one account, just imagine how they'd be if they were sitting on 6 or 7.
And don't forget that a failure to pay will almost certainly get you a goodwill gesture, meaning the £150 incentive suddenly turns into a £175 incentive...as has happened to me a few times. Once they even doubled it (Nationwide). I've even been paid twice before now (Barclays)!0 -

Not complaining - just observing the inconsistencies in response to concerns raised about their payment not arriving.
But this is slightly different to other switching incentive schemes given the volume of applications by phone (which has more potential for error than online applications), paperwork going astray and endless delays for some posters. So its quite possible things could be more likely to go astray in this instance.
What takes 2-3 days for most banks who use online application methods - seems to take 2-3 weeks for CB/YB?!0 -
I wasn't a customer of YB until my first account opening, (Direct), 24-11-14 in branch, 2nd was also in branch 9 days after,(Plus), others, (1 YB, 2 CB), all done on different dates over phone, I seem to recollect re the last one being told credit search not necessary because I had recently opened accounts with them..
I did ask for a CB one (just to be different lol), but the assistant asked if I had any more of their accounts, I said I have YB, and was suggested I stick with them.
Then they asked why I wanted another account, I explained and the assistant was a bit snotty saying "why can't you just do that with the other YB one", so I just said it was for another purpose and wanted it separate.
I was put on hold while they did a credit check, then came back and said its gone through.I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
Was advised something different also.
They stated that they now run a CRA check on each and every application...I wasn't a customer of YB until my first account opening, (Direct), 24-11-14 in branch, 2nd was also in branch 9 days after,(Plus), others, (1 YB, 2 CB), all done on different dates over phone, I seem to recollect re the last one being told credit search not necessary because I had recently opened accounts with them.

I'd wait much longer than 60 days for that:rotfl:

Opened up just a basic Readycash account today. Same questions was asked.
I now have 1 x Readycash YB, and 2 x Current plus YB.
Don't think I'll be going for any more as I have no more 'spare' accounts and already opened up 12+ new accounts in the last few months!I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
Ok thanks. The last 2 lady assistants were more pleasant and didn't ask, although this is my 3rd account

It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
