Yorkshire & Clydesdale Banks offering £150 for switching

So maybe it was just an officious branch banking person asking for this - or alternatively like First Trust they want genuine switchers now if they are going to pay out £150!
I strongly suspect now that my experience was the former, as it was during the previous offer. I didn't proceed with the application, this is just what they instructed me to take for the appointment in branch (which I cancelled). I'll be making a phone application instead at some point in the future.0 -
My 16 year old DS would like to open an adult account and The Yorkshire Bank minimum age is 16. He has a Halifax Save4it and a Halifax Cardcash account. If he sets up 2 of my direct debits on one of these accounts do you think they would be accepted for a Switch by YB.
Or can anybody think of any direct debits that he can set up to qualify?0 -

Check Tesco, I use their DD facility to cream off interest from assorted bank a/c's & comply with DD requirements. (Then I remove it from there because the rates are rubbish.)
Not sure if he's old enough to open the Internet Access Saver and the Instant Access Saver.

Well....I did ask earlier whether it was the £1000 payin that triggered the 35 day-ish countdown .....
Had my first incentive paid today ..... only 24 days after payin, but interestingly 35 days since account opening!!!
Two to go, I was a bit slow off the mark, but 4 between the two of us isnt bad! (Plus 2 Halifax and a First Direct with refer-a-friend!)
EDIT: YAY! just checked .... FD refer a friend paid on Friday!0 -

Thanks Sevenofnine.
The Internet Saver has a minimum age of 18. He can have the Instant Access Account at 16 but it has to be opened by an adult.0 -
Has anyone, whose switch was completed in March received the money?
Cause the changes the T&C in March.0 -
Is it possible to still switch current account if you don't have the debit card for the donor account?
I can't find the card for the life of me and suspect it was cut up and chucked away by accident during a clear out.
Reading back through the thread it seems they ask for the long digit from the card.
Can anyone advise?
Many thanks.0 -

According to their T&C you need DDs.
On the application you need the long number of the debit card. However, I dont know if you can get away without it0 -

If you've ever had a debit card on the account you're switching, you'll need the card number before you can switch to a new account using CASS.
You could apply for a new card0 -

No, but it hasn't reached the max of 60 days for the cashback yet (though they are paying out quicker, they aren't obliged to). My switch was 6/3 but the forms were received by Yorkshire before the cut off point of end Feb, which was the requirement (not the actual switch date).Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0
