Was it 60 days for the incentive to be paid into the account before the T/C changed?
Your switch T&Cs may be viewed from the link in post #4 in this very thread. :)

Hopefully not a stupid question, but my switch completed last week, and I transferred £1020 into my YB account yesterday. I'm still waiting on my internet banking activation code so can't check my account online, but checked my balance at an ATM this morning, and it said £500. Anyone any idea why it said this as opposed to the £1020 I'd transferred in? Or is it just a timing thing? Thanks.

Was there £500 already in your YB account before this transfer?

Have you checked that the YB account details you sent the £1020 to are correct?

Did you transfer £1020 in one sum?
  • Do I need to keep the duplicate copies of my switching forms once my incentive has been paid?
    thanks

I just opened an account by telephone and was told that the £150 switching offer finishes at the end of March.

    Also:
    - They need to receive the switch request form by post by 18 April (the switch form is sent to you with the new account pack)
    - and you must complete the switch by 18 May

So, you may wish to get going on opening an account if you've been putting it off!

Yes, it was one lump sum that I transferred, and there was no balance transferred as part of the switch, so before last night there was zero. So I'd have expected £1020 or £0.

Have they given you a £500 overdraft facility?

Are you sure that wasn’t the balance you can withdraw – i.e. the £500 daily ATM withdrawal limit.

I remember checking my balance once at an ATM – and it wasn’t right either – but the online/internet banking figure was correct and showed a different balance. Just one of the quirks of YB/CB!

Could you try telephone banking and ask them?

I think I said no to overdraft. Oh, perhaps an 'available' withdrawal might be the case! I might try ringing them tonight (having 2 toddlers isn't really conduicive to making important calls!) just to check.
I have things I need to spend the money on, so if the money is transferred I'd start spending straight away (and then just wait on the incentive hopefully)!

Seeing as the current offer started on 7th March, it must have been very popular... maybe they had a limited budget!
