On a related geographical topic, where next after Yorkshire?

Halifax - £125 (but no good to me as I already have one)

M&S - £125 gift card (but no good to me as I had £100 from them for a now closed account)

First Direct - £100 (but no good to me as I've been banking with them since they opened, way, way back and it's the one account I wouldn't ever close)

Co-op - £100 + £25 to charity (but no good to me because I did this once before)

Looks like the party's over - or am I missing some more? :)

Nationwide recommend a friend (£50 for you and £50 for refererer if you switch with at least two DDs) – if you don’t have a friend with a Nationwide account then no harm in asking here! (the referrer just need your first name, surname, DOB and email address)
Topcashback and Quidco offering £80 to switch to Nationwide (doesn’t seem to need two DDs like the RAF offer – but might be worth doing so to be safe)
Quidco/Imutual/TCB offering £35 for switches to Santander 1-2-3 or everyday account
If you live in Northern Ireland First Trust bank

Has anyone started a new discussion on this?

I've just got off the phone to a nice Scottish man who is going to open me a Yorkshire bank account. Looking forward to my free £150 :-)

Does anyone know of a reason why a normal current account (with debit card) from Coventry cannot be switched?

Having to provide another account to switch as the Coventry wasn't eligible but just curious (as it is one account I would be glad to get rid of!).

    Many thanks

I think we should keep one thread - all the issues with account opening, internet banking set up, switch process etc and details on when people get the £150 are the same.

All that is new is that you need to switch 2DDs and can only get one incentive - and aren't eligible if you already have received one since November.

Creating two threads will just create confusion - the real challenge is getting up and running!

Ah ok. I thought someone suggested it before as this one is very long. No problem.

For existing account holders is setting up a second account as much of a chore as the first? Was thinking of getting the Readycash account as a donor.
