Yorkshire & Clydesdale Banks offering £150 for switching

So please can anyone tell me if YB confirm that the condition has been met, if it has, BEFORE the 31 day cut off?!
I'm guessing not?
In which case the aggrieved customer has a very good case I would think.0 -
You guess right.Yorkshire_Pud wrote: »So please can anyone tell me if YB confirm that the condition has been met, if it has, BEFORE the 31 day cut off?!

But the T&Cs are very clear (in mine and others' opinion...and, I'd say, also the FOS's if it went that far). They clearly state what you have to do...you shouldn't really need reminding that you've done it or not?
Even when the T&Cs state VERY clearly that the £1K credit has to 'follow' the switch (and by follow they mean either same day or within a period of 31 days after)? In which case the aggrieved customer has a very good case I would think.0 -

You are not very likely to find many people who will agree with you on this as the rules were very clear and the aggrieved customer didn't play by the rules. The only way this could now be settled in the aggrieved customer's favour is on a goodwill basis but it appears the bank has already decided against a gesture. Time to move on.0 -

Could open/switch in a new account under the new terms though if no incentives received?0 -
I'm confident I would get the incentive if I had made the mistake described;)
Companies that stiff their new customers over minor technicalities don't do well but that's just my opinion and companies have a duty to HELP their customers comply wether they are in MENSA or less blessed, again that's just my opinion.0 -
I'm reminded of John McEnroe's often ranted...Yorkshire_Pud wrote: »...companies have a duty to HELP their customers comply

But, seriously, this will be down to goodwill...and largely based on the account conduct both during the early stages and since the switch date.
The account conduct of those exploiting the offer (and I was one of them) will be really quite obvious to any complaints department officer (and the FOS) with an IQ in double digits!0 -

Coop will also refuse to pay their incentive if you don't exactly meet the T&Cs. I had 1 DD that was accidentally cancelled after transfer which meant the £100 incentive was no longer payable.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

That's why I intend to keep my accounts 'busy' until I get the final £150 in case of issues/disputes - there shouldn't be as I have complied with the terms but you never know!0 -
I've done the same with mine. That's why I intend to keep my accounts 'busy' until I get the final £150 in case of issues/disputes - there shouldn't be as I have complied with the terms but you never know!
I'm expecting the last of mine to pay out later this week, and at that point all the SOs and ad-hoc credits will be cancelled (because it's very, very, messy!).0 -
If the guy/gal only opened one account they will definitely pay out especially as they are still looking for business.
If has multiple accounts will definitely NOT get the incentive!:)
How do I know?
I don't.:rotfl:0
