Haven't you already received at least £150 already based on previous posts?

So sorry - you are ineligible under the new terms.

One £150 per customer only and no one who received a £150 payment (or several!) under the original 17 Nov to 28 Feb terms for switching or is still due to receive their £150(s) is eligible either.

I've now been told I'm not getting the £150 and have asked for it to be raised further (ie a complaint)

I have been told I'll get a call within 48 hours.

Apparently the reason is that my credit of £1000 went in before the switching date and not afterwards. The importance of this was never made clear. Indeed the wording on the offer is 'within' 31 days. I never took that to mean 'after' - as the two words have subtly different meanings. My qualifying transfer was 'within' but before.

I'm not happy about being done on this technicality and will take it further.

Does anyone have a link to the original terms and conditions so I can be fully prepared to argue my case?

Yes - and sorry its very clear!

You can argue your case - but you did not technically comply with the offer terms. You should not pay your £1k until the day after your switch completes (albeit any sums switched in also counted under the old terms towards the £1k).

Given they have probably paid out more £150s than they originally budgeted for/intended - they may not be sympathetic.

Assuming this was your only switch you would however presumably be eligible under the new offer terms - as you never got your £150 first time round. So all is not lost.

These were one of the sets of terms - but both were clear about 'following',

"2b credit your account with at least £1000 within 31 calendar days following your switch completion date, provided that this does not include any internal transfers from any other Clydesdale Bank or
Yorkshire Bank Personal or Private current or savings account you hold with us (either in your sole name or held jointly with someone else).

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! From earlier in the thread (condition 2)...

"credit your account with at least £1000 within 31 calendar days following your switch completion date"

The crucial word begins with the letter 'F'...and it's not the one that will immediately come into your head. ;)

Bother not getting more accounts open during the last offer period - existing customers who have had a switching offer are excluded :(.

We did get three for me and three for Mrs Anon, so cannot complain too much... so long as they all pay out.

#1740 ^^ hence my unanswered question #1721 asking whether YB actually confirm the condition has been met BEFORE the 31 days is up!?

One could argue that why would YB wish to deprive a new customer of their incentive on a technicality? Especially as they possibly wait until the 31 days is up to pay the incentive out even though the condition may have been met the day after the switch? Could it be to catch out the unwary? one could argue that YB should inform customers they have met the condition and pay out immediately that condition has been met. Halifax paid me £125 switch incentive the day after my switch.

Not good PR, not customer friendly even though it IS in the T&C.

I think they might take an informed view depending on whether the customer has actively used the account since opening. They might be flexible if it has been used as intended with several transactions made - however if it was a £1k paid in then taken straight out with no other transactions made they may decide to stick to the letter of the law.

While it may seem unfair - the terms were not complied with.
