    Chose 3 March as switch date but rec'd letter saying switch completion would be 6 March - though balance is still in Nationwide today, maybe later or after midnight it will move.
    In my experience it'll complete around lunchtime.

    Received my debit card and letter notification of account being switched and new YB account details which is open now, all prior to Switch day middle of next week.

    Mentioning this because some complaints here about not being kept informed and not receiving debit cards in time but my experience has been good.

    Received account confirmation paperwork yesterday and debit card arrived today. This was without calling them as I'd intended to do.

    Switch date moved to 13th but I don't mind. Just need to call them to sign up for internet banking.

    I forgot to put this number up earlier in the week...but i found the current account switch team on 08447 360 042 really friendly and helpful.

    A few weeks after sending the completed paperwork back and no confirmation from Yorkshire bank or seeing the account details online, I called the team who exceeded my expectations.

    They took all my details, called back when they said they would, promised to have the account online the same day, which they did...and confirmed the date for the switch I would like.

    The service I received was 10/10...as good as any from first direct.

    Or, if you want to avoid the cost of calling an 0844 number, just call 0141 951 7315 and ask to be transferred.

    Yes they would be, that is a premium rate revenue sharing number and they will keep you talking, use one of the 0800 freephone,(from a landline), numbers freely available on this thread and correspondence from YB.

    Think you are missing the point. It's not about the number...it's about getting to that specific team if you want to get things resolved.

    I only called them for a few mins as they called me back.

    Not had a problem using the 0800 numbers, they will transfer or call back if required.

    Are the £150 incentives issued over the weekend ever?
    I was hoping to receive mine yesterday but it didn't arrive... just hoping really.

    I think its highly unlikely.

    When I got my first one there was a huge batch done at once - several others on here got theirs at the same time.

    The time horizon is generally 30-37 days after you switch and pay in the £1k. That may of course get delayed given the volume of applications in February - they have up to 60 days under the terms to pay it.

    Hi,

    I have just received a letter today telling me that

    "Following on from your recent instructions, the current account swith you requested has now been cancelled. Please note your Yorkshire Bank Account will remain open unless you have requested to close the account detailed below"


    Well I have done no such thing and the other two switches are still seemingly going ahead.

    Has this happened to anyone else? Should I just phone them up on Monday when the lines open and ask them !!!!!! they are doing as I am now worried I will miss out on the £150 switch bonus on the account.

    I have to say my experiences of them has been poor, first of all they lost some of the pages I signed so had to print, sign and scan them back to them, then they never got back to me telling me they had got them until I chased them on 2 occassions.

    All in all quite annoyed with them, but really don't want to miss out on the switch bonus on this switch they have seemingly cancelled off their own back.

    I guess if I don't get it I could take the complaint further.
