Just a thought, this seems like one of those "to good to be true" offers, am wondering if we have missed something in the account T&C's, (not the switch incentive T&C's), and we may have to pay some sort of fee(s) if we don't use account in a certain way or switch out later to another bank

    .

Nothing missed at all. Any 'switch out' fee would have to be included in the 'switch in' T&Cs, not the general T&Cs.

Opening additional TSB Classic accounts is the easiest process I've found. They ask for your employers address, account open the next morning.

    Was that online?

I've found them extraordinarily difficult to deal with every time I've had anything at all to do with them - this time they wanted further information which had to be phone in to them, and the accounts still aren't open days later. The wife had exactly the same problem.

And now all you get is this:

Sorry we cannot offer you a secondary account online at this time. However, you may be able to open another account in your nearest branch or by calling us on 03459 758 758.

I shall take very great delight in switching away from TSB. :rotfl:

I get told to call TSB too if I try to open a Classic - so they're not easy options for me.

Mind you, as I only use them for two Plus accounts which both have £2K parked in them for 5% interest and £500 cycling thru one day a month, I'm not really surprised. On their records I'm clearly not an active customer likely to give them much business, so why should they automatically give me new accounts, just for me to switch them?

I had something similar, even though I applied from within online banking and I've had two Plus accounts since launch (actually, the day before launch following a leaked application link posted on here!). They sent me a text telling me they needed me to call them...and all they wanted was to confirm when I moved into my address! The account was open by the time I got home.

We have an almost, and uncannily, exactly shared experience. Except that if the account is open, it's not available to view online. Presumably, then, you had to add the new account manually? I've had nothing from them so far - not even an account number.
