They say a decision should be made within 48 hours but I was still chasing a decision after 2 weeks...0 -

I guess I should hope that they extend the offer and actually put it in the terms rather than word of mouth over the phone. The advisor did say because they had lots of applications due to the switching scheme that they had a backlog, but 2 weeks. Wow.0 -

OH was referred on 3rd account. Voicemail left two days later for him to call them back but we were away so he only rang back Tuesday and the advisor he got through to went through the whole opening process again. We don't know if that's normal. I'd ring up wednesday about it and be persistent.0 -
Anybody know the opening hours for the 0800 numbers for applications - do they open weekends etc. cheers0

Their savings accounts generally come with a debit card.Jennifer_Jane wrote: »Perhaps you could say that you need to have a separate debit card* so that paying for things comes out of that account - anyway, on my call we had established upfront that I was in this for the incentive. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. just want to ask if what i'm getting is correct..
If i phone up Clydesdale & Yorkshire and set 1/2 accounts up, and then put £1000 in the account for a day and then take it back, does this make me eligible?
Would i get £150 per account (4 2x YB 2x CD)?0 -

They all need to have an account switched into them - but I assume you know that already.
And everything needs to be done according to timetable - i.e. switching signed before the deadline (28th Feb which may be moving to 28th March according to posts above) and 1000 pay-in occurring either via the switch or within the 21 (possibly 31) days after the switch. The 1000 can be withdrawn again whenever you like.
Otherwise, in theory, yes, you get £150 for each.0 -
Have people on here successfully done 2 in one phone call? I was wondering about a single and a joint.0

Opened 2 more this morning on one call...took about 30mins.
I always ask at the beginning of the call if it's ok to open another account since I have others...I found the agents to be friendly and happy to help.
Ps...agent said they're extremely busy as this campaign has been very successful! No suprise there eh?! Lol
I hope people are encouraged and motivated to switch cause this is a super incentive...one which I don't think we will see again!
I have found it pain free with no referrals.0
