Staffies are very tough dogs - unless the weather is unusually cold (which I guess you are worried about gettingready), then the dog should be fine. I don't mean to sound heartless - but, dogs can adapt to outdoor conditions as long as they are fed and watered well. and Staffies are extremely loyal dogs - to suggest separating him from his owner would cause great distress.
have you asked his owner what they need for the coming winter months gettingready? my guess would be something waterproof they could lay on, and something to put over them. as lightweight and portable as possible. (camping equipment is worth a browse).
let me know and I will contribute something too.

Met them today - dog was not too happy posing for photos but managed to get 2 for you. One in brown jacket from Storm's Mum xxxx and one in black from me.

Brown one turned up to be a better size only the thingys at the back to put legs through were way too lose so I cut them off as there was no way of adjusting them. Covers him really nice.

The balck one - fit good overall but could be a bit loser round the neck, But as it her velcro on the neck all good.

Got some pigs ears and other dog thingys plus few bits and pieces for Gavin.

    Thanks averyone xx

    Awwwww.....

I bet when the real cold weather comes in he'll be pleased for those.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

Been following this thread and think gettingready deserves a pat on the back for being so supportive of this guy and his dog. Can't believe the attitude of the board guide but am pleased to see that the thread hasn't been deleted. The pics of the dog with his new coats are great - well done to gettingready and Storm's Mum!!

    Thanks again everyone.

And just to clarify - there is nothing wrong with the Board Guide (Glad) in this thread. Glad does not write the rules but merely follows instructions of whoever wrote those rules as this is part of Glad's role.

It is the forum rules that I have questioned, not Glad's comment .

In any case, dog is warm and got a Sainsbury's bag of treats (pig ears, tripe sticks, schmackos or whatever those are called etc etc) also got few bottles (250ml) ones of water for the dog as even getting water can be sometimes awkward.

Gavin got few bits and pieces and some cash too, will talk to him another time about what he may need - there was too many people around as it was lunchtime.

I am thinking possibly a nice warm waterproof sleeping bag and/or a nice warm jacket/shoes/socks.

He is quite tall and slim I think - will see.

    Thanks everyone xx

He is 13 yo and Gavin had him since he was a puppy.
Doggie was in a PDSA hospital few weeks ago and I could see how worried Gavin was and lost without his friend so... every little helps xxx

Just a suggestion gettingready - but Gavin looks as if he could use a good Rucksack?
I know keeping possessions safe is a high priority and very difficult for those on the streets.
if he would like one then let me know and I will 'somehow' contribute'.

He has got one of those massive long bags, you can see the edge of it just by the brolly on the right. He keeps his stuff there and sits on it too.
He is sitting covered in 2 blankets most days
