The OP's threads are always a bit drama queenish tbh.

A simple solution would have just been to simply unfriend in the first place....instead of creating a thread about it.

    'It's simply ironic':rotfl:

So why was it necessary to incorporate a discriminatory law into English Law in March of this year, and why is it even voluntary, even though in practice it is not ?
It is clearly not truly voluntary because muslim women are subjugated and threatened by domineering muslim men, so they are in actuality coerced into a poor divorce arrangement because a law has been put on the statute books that should never have been.

That is so ironic and shows the hypocrisy of Labour that has a shadow minister for women..... :rotfl:

Vote UKIP and repeal all Sharia Law in the UK !!

    Link/evidence please.

Yes! I know I should block/delete said person and I think I will. I don't enjoy debating with her, but sometimes I think a counter argument has to be made, especially with some of the stuff she posts.

I agree with you. Haven't read the other 5 pages of this thread, but my own approach would be to delete somebody like that on FB, but if it happened in real life at a place where I was a regular - a social club, for example - I would make it known that I disagreed strongly with them. Many such people carry on because people give them their tacit agreement or silence to give themselves a quiet life.

Still, it's late, so thanks to nodiscount for countering cyberman60's crap as I can't be a***ed....

I didn't really read the argument but 'bigot' is certainly the epithet of choice of those who can't or won't engage in sensible discussion.

...or those who are dealing with a bigot.

I heard that long ago, when having a friend met actually knowing, meeting and being in physical proximity with someone, people were able to overcome differing viewpoints using a combination of tolerance, debate and the acceptance that people can hold different opinions without hating each other.

Nowadays we get people who descend into panic when a 'friend' - who they have likely never met - expresses a view which they do not share.

HELP! What do I do!? Do I 'delete' them? Do I... do I 'unfriend them'!? OMGZ! I'm being forced into some semblance of social interaction and my head is about to explode!!!

    Pathetic.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: :T:T Love the last paragraph "OMGZ." :rotfl:

Can't believe someone actually started a thread about such a petty and trivial issue. It's not rocket science; JUST UNFOLLOW HER!

The OP will be starting a thread next, about the tragic aftermath of putting a red sock in the washing machine, with her whites!:eek::eek:

Threads that end up like this make me wish more people had voted Yes in the referendum. The support level for UKIP on here is downright scary. I do wonder if it's because of all the media attention they receive?
Up here in Scotland we just don't have the same hatred of all things "different" Perhaps it's because Scots have been punted off round the world for generations when things got tough here?
We can't exactly blame anyone for wanting a better life for their family when "we" have been doing it for hundreds of years.
Thankfully we do have another major party other than the Red Tories or the Blue Tories to vote for up here. But we do get Question Time with Farage all over it even though they only recently got their first MP.

to the OP, when I have ended up disagreeing about things on fb with people that are only acquaintances rather than proper friends, after they post their third Britain First meme I don't answer, I delete them, because I point out the rubbish they have posted the first couple of times, as the BF memes can be very easy to share ( we should jail the people who left this dog to die, this ex serviceman should be better looked after type stuff that we all agree with) but to continue doing it isn't acceptable to me, personally, so they are removed. Because while we have to accept that people will have different views, I really don't want to help promote BF by seeing it on my fb page.

OP the 'Friend' isn't a friend in REAL life so just unfriend and block her. No biggie.

When UKIP party members were up for election as councillors and ranted about LGBT people in local papers, I tweeted links whenever I found them, so that ppl who follow me in UK and abroad could read the bigotry for themselves.

I will certainly be doing this in the run up to the election. IMO UKIP are dangerous nutters.

It always makes me smile how many people are taken in with Farage's "just a normal, working class bloke" persona....:rotfl:

The beer is for the cameras, the finest claret when not on camera lol

He is a fraud, with his working class pretensions - public school, city trader, venture capitalist etc., etc., and he will do anything for money. Another Boris Johnson, in fact.

Fiddled his expenses, joined with a Polish group (for more money) that even the French National Front won't join, because of their extremism. :wall:

Of course they are the BNP in suits......:rotfl:

DH is a Kipper, and although he agrees that most if the stuff they talk is gibberish, he still intends to vote for them, as they are his protest.......

I would sooner not vote than vote for racists, and, no, I am not posh, or live in a mansion - just a working class Londoner.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

We supposedly live in a democracy, yet political parties consistently renege on election promises. UKIP seems to change policy on the hoof all of the time.

IMO if people want to vote for bigots, it's on their conscience. But the more that politicians from ALL parties can be shown to be the bigoted sleazebuckets they usually are, the more informed the voter is when deciding who gets their X
