Bigoted "friend"

The original point was - my 'not' friend is a bigot-what should I do?
It has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with the OP being a Drama Queen! Hide, Ignore, Unfriend, Block....sorted!
But, as the OP is a DQ, she has to come on here and make a scene and the bait is taken:T
But hey ho, it's a free country and no-one has said she's a troll, so that's progress:T
The OP's threads are always a bit drama queenish tbh.
A simple solution would have just been to simply unfriend in the first place....instead of creating a thread about it.0 -
Great logic. And millions of Germans didn't think Hitler so awful in WWII Germany, so there.
The "opinions" about banksters and this government's demonisation of the sick and the poor? That is verifiable FACT, whether or not this is convenient for you to acknowledge. A bit different from people supporting far-right parties whose members keep getting in trouble for letting their racism/misogyny show and who want to repeal basic labour rights.
People of different colours / vagina-havers not being equal, and shrugging at workers being exploited for their labour - THAT'S opinion. And yeah, if people want to hold those opinions, they can. But it's going to become a pretty messed-up country if ignorant people keep latching on to figures like Farage.
Well, during the Labour years a mass of immigrants were invited to this country, very many of whom believe that women are to be treated second class. Under Labour we also had Sharia Law introduced for divorce which means that muslim women get a worse deal than they would under British Law divorce.
Thus Labour and subsequently the Tories have promoted this grotesque acceptance of inequality in muslim culture here in the UK. Perhaps you should condemn actual discriminatory ACTS rather than just silly words.
UKIP believe that those that come here to the UK adapt to our high standards and laws and not try to change us to fit their laws. Equality for ALL women is just another reason why they have my vote. :T0 -

To be fair, there are lots of threads you could say that about on this section, loads of them get replied to.0 -
Sigh... Some people are so misguided there is nothing you can say really....Cyberman60 wrote: »Well, during the Labour years a mass of immigrants were invited to this country, very many of whom believe that women are to be treated second class. BTW, Sharia law is not binding on this country last time I checked.0 -

I agree, there's lots of over the top drama queenish threads in this section.
Each one has me thinking the same....'what exactly is the purpose of this thread?!'0 -
I heard that long ago, when having a friend met actually knowing, meeting and being in physical proximity with someone, people were able to overcome differing viewpoints using a combination of tolerance, debate and the acceptance that people can hold different opinions without hating each other.
Nowadays we get people who descend into panic when a 'friend' - who they have likely never met - expresses a view which they do not share.
HELP! What do I do!? Do I 'delete' them? Do I... do I 'unfriend them'!? OMGZ! I'm being forced into some semblance of social interaction and my head is about to explode!!!
Pathetic.0 -

So why was it necessary to incorporate a discriminatory law into English Law in March of this year, and why is it even voluntary, even though in practice it is not ?
It is clearly not truly voluntary because muslim women are subjugated and threatened by domineering muslim men, so they are in actuality coerced into a poor divorce arrangement because a law has been put on the statute books that should never have been.
That is so ironic and shows the hypocrisy of Labour that has a shadow minister for women..... :rotfl:
Vote UKIP and repeal all Sharia Law in the UK !!0 -

Pathetic.
I very much agree !! It is very sad but made more sad by the fact that the OP thinks her friend is a bigot when she clearly is not. That is the legacy of Labour and their political correctness, coupled with poor education.

I didn't really read the argument but 'bigot' is certainly the epithet of choice of those who can't or won't engage in sensible discussion.0
