I've been having a bit of a wobbly week as I've been really busy. I'm still 15 stone 5 on the scales at home so it's a good thing I've not put weight on. I think I'll restart properly on Boxing Day as I'll be at work all day so will be good to start so I won't be tempted to eat loads and from New Years I should be back to my contracted 30 hours so I'll probably be less tired and have more time to go too.
Hope everyone's doing well and are ready for Christmas:T:T :beer: :beer::beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:

I don't blame you for having a bit of a wobbly week, there's so much temptation around at this time of year. Don't be too hard on yourself if you do lapse over christmas, two weeks time and it will be the new year and much easier to stick to healthy eating. That's what I'm telling myself anyway0

Dawyldthing you seem to be doing great.
In your first post you said that one of the instructors said that Aquagym does not help much. What did they mean, I am quite shocked as I do Aquagym once a week for 40 minutes with 5 minute calm down and love it. Everyone is different but you can really work very hard if you want to. We are all different shapes, ages and sizes but we all follow the instructor at our own pace and intensity. I find my heart rate is elevated for most of the 40 minutes and I feel really good afterwards (endorphins)There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -

Just back from a trip into town (walking) and bought a nice, red, John Lewis scarf for £1.50 from the hospice shop. I washed it and it is drying now. My daughter did one of those colour courses and it is amazing how colour can lift you. I wear a lot of black but like to have a splash of red so I am pleased with this.
Tried to find some nice, black, dressy boots but could only find in M&S and didn't want to pay full price as I have already bought boots this year. Thought I would go online and use a cashback site but, of course, they don't have my size. Oh well....
Just about to make some porridge for lunch. I find that quite filling and it sees me through till dinner. Having a roasted chicken piece with some roasted veg for dinner so, hopefully, won't be eating any rubbish today.
I wear all different colours. There aren't many clothes I wear that are dark. I think I have clothes in every colour. But I agree it always helps my mood as I always feel cheerier:T:T :beer: :beer::beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:

It's like a dance fit class, but in water. It is more dance based tbh. I did do one on a Wednesday evening and we used like line things for exercises in the water but it's making sure to go as I often work Wednesdays before it. I absolutely love it the Tuesday aquafit class but never lose any weight even though for over a year I've often done it many weeks as well as walking to and from work (I often get colds but find walking seems to help fend them off). I find I wasn't doing too bad with going to the gym (I'm restarting back again Monday as I've really enjoyed it and I did feel better doing it) and will try going a few times a week. I'm also going to try and keep going to my aqua class on a Tuesday (my su said she would like to come, but need to go through all the rigmarole to see what loops I need to go through if she wants to come) which might keep me on track if they come too.:T:T :beer: :beer::beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:

Happy new year to you all. Like I said in a previous post I'm going to start back with it all Monday as I've had my mad 2 weeks at work (food wise I don't think I've done bad at all bar a few ciders on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Which isn't bad going for me as I've finished off a whole birthday cake before in the Christmas season before as I love the sponge (sweet things are and always have been my downfall, but didn't get many this year so it has definately helped. I'm going to go on the scales tomorrow to see what damage has been done from the hols but from going on some scales at one of the houses I work at I don't think it should be too bad (although I'm not overly convinced they are right lol).
Nearly fell off my chair when I walked in from work as we normally have to pester my boss to get the next months rota but it was sitting there in my inbox so it's going to be easier to plan exercise as I know what I'm doing upto mid February. Plus I'm getting a lot of the shorter shifts which isn't a bad thing as I can go to the gym before or after work. Plus I've noticed with tesco receipts that you can do a survey each visit for 25 points so might go to tesco on my way to pick up a bottle of water then do the survey as I think one of the offers can be used on an oz trip. Still not too sure when I can go, but I'm not worrying as I want to get the weight off first.
So here's to 2015 being successful weight loss and keeping it off!:T:T :beer: :beer::beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:

I've been looking at contiki tours for some time as my worry is is that I won't get the time off work to do 3 months around Oz (I don't think I could either. I once went around Thailand, Maylasia and Singapore for 6 weeks with a friend and was ready for coming home by the end). They are pretty expensive, but I don't think I've got it in me to travel alone any more (as you do meet people, but I do think it would be better doing it with others.) Plus I know 2 people I went to camp with did a Europe tour and another did a South Africa tour and both seem to enjoy it. So I'm setting myself a target. I've seen a tour I want to do late this year/ early into next. I'm hoping I can get the 3 and a half weeks off (using some of this years annual leave and 2 and a half of next). It's just if work would grant it or not (my collegue has had 3 weeks off for the last 2 so I'm going to give it a try). Plus every time we have rung during the holidays one or the other have been off, so if the shoe fits. The other problem is is that I want to go over New Year and they might refuse it just on that. But if I work all of Christmas and go on the 28th I'd then get there on the 29th and be there for New Years in Sydney I think (it's £70 odd more expensive than starting in Cairns, but I'd love to see New Years in in Sydney). I'm always doing them favours so will try and push to get it off. We have a meeting in a few weeks so I might bring it up then.
If they say I can get it off then I'm going to book it once I get to 13 stone 7lbs. I weighed myself this morning at work and I was 15 stone 3 1/2 lbs, so some how have lost 1 1/2 lbs over the holidays. I haven't eaten as much but still been walking loads, but I'm happy with that. I'd be ecstatic going to Oz around 12 stone if I'm honest with myself as I once weighed 17 stone 7lbs so to get this far isn't too bad, but if I lose a 1lb a week I could be booking it late May time.
Here's hoping:T:T :beer: :beer::beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:

I've had a pretty good week overall. I'm still trying to cut down ( definitely need to work on portion control as I felt too full the other day. I've been to Zumba today and I swam 800 metres Tuesday and did the aqua class afterwards which I really enjoyed. I've also still been walking to work which is about 2 miles round trip ish plus other bits of walking inbetween. I'm on a day off today, the first since Boxing Day so quite enjoying watching the darts and enjoyed Zumba earlier. Plus yesterday at darts I just had a quarter of a cheese sandwich, so overall I don't think I'm doing too bad. Been on the scales this morning and am pretty much the same. Hoping to keep losing my pound a week though.
I'm hoping to go to the gym after work tomorrow and after work Sunday as I know when I had the introduction many moons ago he said to try and go at least twice a week if not more. So I'm hoping to go and see how I go on, if I'm not aching from Zumba tomorrow that is:T:T :beer: :beer::beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:
